They still won't answer. They already supposedly said DX11 will be included in a patch. But as for when, it's all up in the air. If we ever do get this patch, it better be massive.

crytek confirmed the game would have dx11 the only thing they didnt confirm was when the patch would be available and concidering nvidia sunk 2 mil into the development so they could show off thier new vid cards that patch wont be far away.

I am not a big supporter of DX11 because only 20% of PC 'Crysis 2' owners own DX11 capable graphic cards. Even then the Frame Rate will decrease drastically and the DX11 version would be playable on 10% of computers or less.

You do know your not obligated to use it correct your game will still work fine in the other DX versions. This arguement that I have been hearing numerous times is like me saying it should be illegal for a store to sell a Rolex because I can't afford one. Trust me the game will have a longer life the more powerful the graphics are.

I'm gonna say what I want Crytek to do:

DX11 announcement yesterday. Worthwhile DX11 patch ASAP, later DX11 DLC from the ground up. No way I'm buying DLC for Crysis 2 if it is not loaded with DX11 awesomeness.

I have money to burn. Only reason. I am still against the principle. But then again I would cheerfully pay 160 dollars for a PC game that actually maxed out my rig.

PS: Crytek mods have locked at least 1 DX11 announcement thread already probably a lot more.

DX11 AT SAME GRAPHIC SETTINGS AS DX9/DX10 WILL DRASTICALLY IMPROVE YOUR FRAMERATE!

Dx11 api is quite a lot better optimized then it's predecessors so in reality, dx11 would actually make your game SMOOTHER as long as you don't activate dx11 specific features (tessellation, advanced depth of field, etc.)

Yes thats true or at least it can be the Battleforge patch actually increased the frame rate by more than 25% and AMD cliam the average increase (I guess with no DX11 effects) is 35%.

I see how you guys respect other people's opinions/ideas. He just thought that Dx11 graphic cards aren't very popular yet, so a Dx11 version of the game is not very important for now. Anyway he can share his ideas/opinions. That's what a forum is for.

Even if I am wrong (wich I doubt) there is no reason for insulting me. 'recongr' showed his decency unlike many of you.
In my previous post I said that I am not "a big supporter of DX11" because I think there is much more important things to focus on to. Such as bringing new maps to a crowds, anti-cheat and bug updates... Thank You ;D

Yeah when I said update I didn't even mean the patch I literally meant an update. Like... At the least they could say something like this:

"We are sorry we couldn't provide a day 1 patch and we are doing our best to get it finished as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not have any further information at this time but rest assured a DX11 patch will be forthcoming"

I mean yeah it's totally meaningless BS but at least it would show they're listening. I'm half expecting one of the mods to cut and paste this in verbatim as a reply (don't even think about it make your own BS). Or better yet give us an announcement with some actually new information about the DX11 patch.

Crytek I've bought the game because I trust in you and wait for a DX11 version, but many friends of mine have not even purchased until DX11 patch comes out, you can say something and not be silent, we want to know when will the DX11 patch?

The game will be patched with DX11 support coinciding with the release of Nvidia's new GTX 590.
