Hey everyone I've been out of touch with the internet for a while due to my job and just saw the system requirements for C3.

Does the game absolutely need a DX11 GPU? I only have a GTX 260 (DX10) but I can't afford to upgrade atm, I guess I won't be able to play on PC like this?

I just find it hard to believe since consoles don't even have DX9 and the games are available there, will there be no option to run this game on console-like settings at least? I'd hate to have to buy for ps3 and play with the awful joypad.

Yes.DX11 is required.

TBH i'm glad they did this.DX9 was already used for too long,and it takes too much developing time to make the game compatible on many versions

You can always rely on Crysis to take the one step forward in graphics

I feel a strong heartbreak now, C2 ran so ridiculously fluid on even laptops and looked way better than anything I had ever seen, I was hoping this was a new philosophy for Crytek so that everyone could enjoy the game, and those who wanted pretty could get the DX11 Patch and HD Textures
but at least I can still play the game on PS3

Consoles have dx9 so yeah Crysis could be compatible on PC in DX9, but they want to act liike the wanna be benchmark of the future pc gaming generation, just hope this is gonna be a pure fail.

While I'm sad about being unable to play the game on PC and was hoping for them to make a DX10 version of the game, I don't wish for anything bad to happen to Crytek, I mostly want to play the game for the campaign and the story (sounds odd right?) so as long as there is SOME way for me to play I'm still happy to be able to play on PS3

Really? I thought the beta was great on 360, smooth fps compared to C2. The PS3 seemingly has some issues with FPS in MP for some but meh
