I guess from the posts I could be waiting sometime for the DX11 patch....like until hell freezes.....too busy making money off DLC seems to be the case.......finish the game first as was promised.

Ive already said that erlyer. But chances for that patch are little. Team thet made Crysis2 is working now at some crap for ancient micro$ console that uses kinect, called Codename: Kingdoms. Crap for little children with adhd so they could belive that they can fight, at least till someone will throw them on the ground and stomp on theyre faces.

Crytek was one of the last game dev companies I had faith in. Excuse me, the very last. Teaming up with EA for Crysis 2 was an idiotic idea. It will take VERY extensive patching and upgrading for this game to rival Crysis 1 or Crysis Warhead, and I can't see them investing that money into it. I regret buying this game (and I almost didn't purchase it when I read about EA's involvement), and I will not be purchasing another Crytek game unless they return to their roots of making great PC games. This was a huge money grab and nothing more. Crytek is already trying to pump out some xbox kinect game to boost profits more, and I couldn't be much more disgusted with them selling out like this. Crytek has essentially sold its "soul" for more money. Big surprise.

Oh and one more: Bethesda. I don't know that I could hate them even if I really wanted to because they made TES III: Morrowind lol. However, that is all. Boo Crytek :(

If Ure looking for some devs in witch U might still have some faith, take a look at CD Project RED. I do belive that theyre ones that still cares unlike all others that became only simple joints of money making machines. At least i hope i can still belive, will know for sure at 17th when i'll see if Witcher 2 is same game as promised.

Sorry for off-top.

Any news about DX11 ??!!

Interesting, I will have to look into that. Thank you Sir/Madame for the suggestion! I only hope that Crytek will see the error of its ways, though companies rarely do that after they get a taste of the $.

Seems it's the norm for these kinda shenanigans (releasing unfinished games), fine then, i'm still happy with the SP of Crysis 2, probably be another game update soon so as to let everyone know about the DLC, like BC 2 done with Vietnam, adding the option to game start screen.
I hope there is another patch included with the update.

All in all this is sad:
1. Sad how the PC fans have been treated
2. Sad how the release, even with DX9, is still broken (accounts, codes etc)
3. Just overall taking what could have been a stunning game and made it "stunning in 2012 we hope".

Even worse is that, despite DX9, this is one amazing looking game with true technologic advances (despite what peopel say about tensselisation etc).

in fact, considering DX9 library using, overall visual picture and framerate of the game, i should admit that you are absolutely right - game looks very good. and SP is not bad at least (not MW2 of course, but still good)
undofrtunately, that's all good i can say regarding the game

Knowing that DX 11 patch has already been announced over a month ago and that there's already 1.4 patch available.
How do I force DX 11 for Crysis 2? I have GTX 560 Ti.

Thanks.

Um...might wanna check those precious Crysis and Crysis Warhead boxes you have because EA was the publisher for those as well. http://www.amazon.com/Crysis-Pc/dp/B000PS2XDO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305400603&sr=8-1

EA let them make a few games solely for PC and probably pushed them to do Crysis 2 multi-platform. I realize this is a business and money talks and that's how the world turns. But even though they come off as greedy, ths is solely Crytek's fault, they're the developers. They had years to implement all this tech and build this engine, this should have been done on day 1!

What some of you fail to realize is that Crysis 2 was finished and DX11 wasn't ready in time for shipping. DX9 looks solid and that's all I have to say about that. It doesn't matter what any of you say. Development takes time and sometimes longer than usual until you get a specific feature done right. MP modes on other hand run the risks of being insecure a lot.

In the case of Crysis 2 MP it didn't take long for people to cheat and find ways to use hacks and circumvent the engine entirely.

You guys got an optimized game not an unoptimized one like Crysis 1. You'd still be here complaining if Crysis 2 was unoptimized and wanting optimization patches now instead of DX11.

So which is it Hypocrites?

Crysis 1 was NOT unoptimized.
Do you think making smaller maps is optimizing the game?
Do you think making worse textures is optimizing the game?

My only fear is that we don't get a full / proper implementation of Dx11 :(
