open a post in a forum on DX11 and 1 month did not show signs of life, not to say goes as planned or delay or whatever, is a disrespect to all PC users who've bought the game or fence to buy ....

Yeah, I want to know something about the "features" they say is coming with DX11. What do crytek mean by features?

Just a little info to remind us that you are indeed working on this would'nt hurt Crytek. I bought the game at launch and it's been rotting in my Steam folder for 2 months now.

I'm a little insulted by the fact that I paid full price for this game and it'll be on sale once I actually get to play it.

What's sad is that these whiners will finally get the DX11 patch, and then they will find other things to whine about i.e. it causes my system to run at 3 frames per second, or it isn't a good enough DX11 patch (whatever "good enough" is will always be higher than whatever is delivered). Are high schools and colleges offering a new career path choice: Professional Whiners?

I started up the game on the PC for the first time last night (had to finish Dead Space 2 first). Other than a few lame ground textures, it is pretty impressive what they have done with DX9. My GTX 580 is running at almost 100% utilized and I am getting decent framerates on a 2560x1600 resolution screen. Compared to Dead Space 2 (which was a great game - but also came from a console port), this is definitely more challenging on PC HW. DS2 only resulted in my graphics card to be 20 to 30% utilized and used only one core of my CPU. Crysis 2 uses everything I have to throw at it, with multiple CPU cores utilized as well. The thing is, DS2 still looked great, and was fun to play. That is what I am looking forward to with Crysis 2.

good post, and man they should grow the hell up, i bet it's the same ones on every board, the game is fine just how it is, dx11 is not ground breaking anyway, i would love a addon to what is already here, they cry about a dammn game is beyond me.

I hope this doesn't make the Mp mode slower...
I already run it at 30-40 Fps, And I really wouldn't want it to get even worse!

I used FRAPs and my GTX 580 is running the game at 37 to 45 frames per second at 2560 x 1600 resolution. That is pretty much perfect for me. The DX11 patch would probably drop it down to 20 to 25, and that is probably still barely playable for single player, but forget multiplayer.

Well, it depends on what is implemented in DX11. DX11, if optimized right without adding ANY features should be faster than Dx9. So it all depends - if they add tensel and one cranks it up = well any single card will crash to its knees. So for all we know we might get better AA, better water, same FPS (or better).

Well, I have it on my shelf until (1) all the patch/code issues are fixed and (2) dx11 comes out. IT will be a nice summer game - just hope some people online are still playing.

I just don't see myself playing the single player more than once. So why not wait for the "way it should be played" with DX11 and experience all teh glory. Need to start (and finish) AC2: Brotherhood :)

Lower your resolution. Or since the new patch will probably include better image customization options you could turn AA off at the resolution.

Be Patient I herd that they just started the DX11 Patch in November 2010. It's not Cryteks fault EA rushed them.

Have you tried 1920*1080? SLI 460s V-sync to a rock solid 60 fps in that res.

We can't be sure that dx11 will actually hit performance as of right now by the way. Shogun 2 sees a slight improvement in dx11 mode in fact.

the thing that is concerning is if there was any good news about DX11 crytek would show it to pump up sales, one would think.

but if announcements are not listed on the gamesas site they don't hold any water, but i do like how it says patches meaning more than one, if true.
