The fact is that DX11 is still not here for Crysis 2... they basically just ship the game unfinished for the PC... actually they havent ship the PC game yet, they just ported the Xbox360 version to the PC (remember the MP Beta? u can practically see the Xbox Controls)
not just the DX11... even the CryEngine3 wasnt shipped along with the game.
It would have been nice if the game was shipped like it was with Crysis (1)
Oh please, the amount of patronising, rage and sarcasm as thick as butter going on in this thread is more than enough to fill dozens of 450 cubic metre aquariums, were they able to physically manifest.
But I digress.
Crytek only asks one thing, that I am quite sure many of you have, but are not willing to use.
Patience.
Surely Crysis 2 does feel a tad, unfinished for us, PC users, however, I would not blame Crytek, and instead blame EA for setting a release date, thus, stressing the developers into porting a version from the consoles, which was already nearing it's polished finish.
The result, from what we all can gather, is a massive amounts of misunderstandings, rage and confusion.
I do not blame you, it is natural to feel that way when confused.
However, please bear with Crytek as they make the necessary modifications to a buggy-as-hell (code-wise) game, in order to make it as PC as possible.
Making a patch for a console port, compatible with PC is no easy deal, most of it is rewriting code, and that, does take alot of time.
As for DX11 and Cryengine 3, I need remind that they, like the patches are making code modifications, however, implementing those functions will mean a substancially large amount of code (re)written.
Patience is a virtue, but today, patience seems more of a gift, in this twisted age of technology.
