Don't worry, why would they abandon bug fixes anyway.

IMO they have been working on this DX11 quite some time! but they will not admit it. remember that this is my opinion. it was delayed because of the PC side Was not finnished! so they had to do something quick. remember that they never said they were going to put out a demo for the PC. Only the xbox 360. so they made a last minute spit decision to hurry up and port the xbox version over to PC. and we did a quick demo/beta test for bugs cause they didn't have time to test it fully. so we tested it and thus why bugs galore on launch day. My opinion is they gave us the quick port so they didn't have to delay it again. and they probably had alot of bugs on the dx11 version and wanted to get to a good launch state. remember that Nvidia gave Crytek 2 million Big ones for exclusive right to advertise there gtx580 and 590 plays better on crysis 2. So why would they do that if the game right now could play on lets say a ati hd 3870 or nvidia 6600's? so i say when they release this so called patch it will be almost a complete rework version of what we have. also i have a question? why are there setting for vehicles when there is none that i know of in the game?

Jesus Christ almighty, the amount of complaint on these kind of forums are atrocious. It's filled with bumbling morons who knows jack **** about game development, elitist idiots and dumb pirates. Crytek, you are a good company, just whatever you can to please your fans. You are in control of the game, not them.

And here you are not adding anything but a complaint. Go svck your thumb and prostate yourself at the altar of Crytek. Meanwhile, I'd still like Crytek to fix the issue with multi GPU full screen flickering. I think DX11 would be a nice addition to the game. Is that alright with you?
Nice way of not comprehending my sentence. If you've seen me earlier, I am quite happy with this DX11 announcement, I was mainly focusing to the amount of complaints on a Crysis 2 forum, which is astonishing.

Oddly enough I addressed what you did post. Why in the world would I bother reading your prior posts given how pointless the one I did read was?

I admit I guess, it was pointless. It's just they are so much complaints and Crytek are trying their best. I have been happy with Crysis 2 ever since I got it. Some people are like, "Hey DX11! Where's our bug fixes, where's sandbox, where's 64-bit, hackers everywhere." They can't be perfect you know...

We would like to announce that there will be a DX11 patch released for Crysis 2. We are working to get the best out of DX11, so we’ll wait to announce the features until a little closer to release.

just fix the multiplayer first please

I've been sitting with launch day copy of the game finished the campaign, but multiplayer is just horrible. Every server which is under 150 ping for me has LVL 50 one shot kill cheaters. It's pathetic and makes me feel the game ain't worth the spending I gave..

Fix the hackers, thank god you finally stumped out the pirates with v1.2. But the 1st thing I want, and every other frustrated multiplayer used would want in v1.3 is BAN BAN BAN BAN hackers.

There is no place for hackers, especially when they are doing HACKS and CHEATS knowingly

agree its nice that there game is now locked down from the thieves. but the hackers are thieving our fun still. i payed $60 for some fun times with friends. But there are still loads of hackers that have no skill and cheat!! and the sad part they don't even try to hide it at all. to me Crytek they are giving us the bird. But most of all they are giving you two birds one cup.

I'm happy and sad, happy because we finally will see the dx11 miracle. Sad because I'm afraid that I'll see this miralce in slow motion on my computer, couse I have only hd6870 not gtx 590 or 580. Crytek please give us a choice to run game in dx11 or in dx9 mode.

Quote: DirectX is a special library which allows programmers easy and fast access to your PC hardware. As such it is used mostly by games, but other programs which require fast graphics and sound, such as video players and emulators also make use of it. Source : http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/utilities/ . So in short it works with PC to make better the videos and sound generators. Image PC related, not gaming consoles.

Thanks for the update... its good to see that the PC users are finally getting what they paid for and can satisfy the need for improved graphics from your engine. I am sure this will make many PC users happy and may improve the feeling between Crytek and their PC customers.

Hope all goes well with the patch I am looking forward to seeing it released and being able to run the game to its full potential with my DX11 hardware.

I know why they announce it,since to calm the community down, but this isn't good enough. And why the hell is crytek doing secret over DX11? It is a feature what a lot of people know what it is. First they should fix the game instead announce these things.

This is good news.....my 570's are hungry. :D

I'm with you pal! I launched the game for 5 minutes and saw 100fps and it was too much for Crysis. Then I closed and decided to see DX 11 beauty

Yes, but.... DX11.... DX11........ DX11!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the mentality of these so called PC elitists. Sure DX11 will be good if it will will have performance benefits (which it won't) and a tad more eye candy, but bugs/MP stats not saving are still priority number one!

It is quite silly and in most cases impossible to implement only the few DX11 features without implementing any of the DX10 features.

Its silly too, to release a game without DX11 and to release it by Patch !?

I'm glad it's finally announced but...why did it take that long for just an announcement? =/

Hopefully all the game mechanic issues will be cleaned up first too. Eye candy can wait I'd say.

Lolwut? They talked about DX11 not redrawn textures from the scratch and a new physics system.

Don't expect the game to look anywhere near more than 5% better than it does now after the patch.
