DX11 Patch Announced for Crysis 2! : Crysis

Sorry for being a newb (not a pc-gamer at all). But what is it, that has everyone asking for DX11? I heard Crysis 2 had DX9 support, but what would this patch change?

Watch what exactly does Tessellation is and what it does.

It makes a BIG impact.

I wonder how Crysis 2 will benchmark with singular decent card on DirectX 11, I hope they utilise near all of the features, eh...time will clearly tell.

I am going to laugh so hard if this DX11 Patch comes out at the same time as the release of the next series of graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia xD (I.e. At the end of the year at the earliest)

But anyway, in all seriousness, I'm glad you listened to your community Crytek, and I am also glad that you wish to make my brand new system melt with giving Crysis 2 DX11... Oh this'll be fun

I won't be getting over the completely changed single player experience though. You should have made a new game series that was compatible for PC and console which didn't mean changing the enemies and gameplay, but oh well, we can't have everything our way eh?
You think we're getting DX11 because Crytek listened to the community? That's very naive. The only reason we're getting DirectX11 is because nvidia paid some $$ for them. They have been making it for months already but couldn't get it out on the release date, because it wasn't their priority and because EA needed to get the game out.

Very true, consoles were their priority most probably because of EA.

das spiel k?nnten die für den pc tausend mal besser machen, aber nein die bringen für den pc genau so eine scheise raus wie auch für die konsolen ! ihr faule s?cke, wenn ich crysis 1 und 2 vergleiche so ist die grafik von den ersten viel besser !
die story von crysis 2 k?nnte auch besser sein.

und da wollt ihr auch wirklich noch die verkaufszahlen von cod erreichen ? soll das ein scherz sein ?

ich bin ein totaler crysis fan auf den ersten blick erscheint crysis 2 richtig geil aber auf einen zweiten blick ist es totaller müll. das einzige was mir gef?llt sind die coolen aliens und das menü.

und ist es euch überhaupt nicht peinlich so viele pathes für ein neu rausgekommenes spiel zu erstellen ? macht eure games zuerst richtig fertig und bringt dann falls notwendig einen schei* path raus.
einen sch?nen arschtritt ben?tigt ihr um endlich mal wach zu werden !
besorgt euch gute kreative leute die was k?nnen und mit leidenschaft daran arbeiten.

I don't think DX11 patch should come out for Crysis #3 (About 10% to 20% of people even have DX11 cards anyways). Why not put DX11 in Crysis #4 instead, and go back to the tropical Islands again. Come on now don't abandon Crysis #1 and #2 put back the 64bit for Crysis #1 and patch Crysis #2, so it will have 64bit to. Also please gives the map editor for Crysis #3.

Yeah but those 20% of people with DX11 cards bought Crysis 2.

Grandma might be still running DX 9...but hardcoe gamers are running DX 11 and they want DX 11 ( Like me )

I think most people who dismiss DX 11 have never seen the difference between DXs.

My bad I have a Geforce 9600 GT. Otherwise would've loved to try this out in DirectX 11 (or even DirectX 10 for that matter but that I guess ain't gonna happen since Crytek is already having a hard time getting out DirectX 11) !!!

Oh and dont forget you still have the flickering to sort ye? a fix shouldn't be something that we have to disable. Maybe if you put your big brains to fixing rather than how to make more money?

glad to see that dx 11 is on its way would be nice if it came with an elite mode as from the first game
1 other thing ill say is sort out your anti cheat software quick
this game has had a really bad start but ill tell ya what it will die on its feet if you do not get that sorted

Please tell us that the Patch will contain the Sandbox 3 as well, I would be so I happy that I might buy a second version of the game
