Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:13 am

well, the problem is that to play everything again just to see a little difference is not worth at all. i just finished the game few weeks ago and now i have to play all the way till the end? its not nice. shame on u, crytek.

4 hours of playing on easy and you are done :X

what's your complaint here? that you dont want to play a game you paid for? why buy it if it'd have no replay value for you?

i should admit that making high-res textures and dx 11 support is a good move to FLIcked PC users

I just login to this page to get entertained...lost interest in Crysis 2 in 2 weeks because I get a feeling of getting funcomed as well as the many multiplayer issues ( stats reset, level reset, tags lost, etc...).

Crytek: your team svcks for selling out and semi-non-dialogue with the community--> remember? Those are the guys that buy your product.

Yaaaaay. Sorry I can't be enthusiastic since I can only use DX10. Hows DX10 coming along by the way?
This patch is for DX11 only.

Then I am disappointed cause I only have DX10 (9800GTX+) Can't understand why you don't care for DX10 users. We bought DX10 to use it for Crysis 1 and Warhead to support it. And now I MUST upgrade to 11 cause you made such a weird decission? I do not. I think you must support this. Do you think this will be possible?

Compare DX9 water to DX11 water and it's night and day.
As far as DX10 support goes, the improvements were small and the performance hit was big.
DX11 has major improvements and a much smaller performance hit, so why bother with Dx10.

I sent and voiced my opinion to crytek about my problems with crysis 2. I mean Im just one voice but im sure they have people reading threw some of these forums and getting more slack for their dishonest practice.

From watching the tech interviews I got this from crytek: A full next gen ready cryengine 3 that scales to all other platforms. So basically I wish I could dig up some interviews but it goes like this. The term next gen. Right their its telling me groundbreaking enhanced pc tech designed on a pc. 2ndly and Ill really keep this short. Why the hell would they make a game that barly anyone run in 2007 maxed out and then due a u turn with all these features and tools that were provided previously. Why the hell do us pc gamers become hobbiest? Alot of us work hard to to have cutting edge systems and we want games that take advantage of that. I relise we dont need a game that nobody can run but at least give pc gamers the options that they payed for.

The game was never worth $60 bucks out the box IMO. No pc game should be again IMO. This game doesnt have what weve come to know and love from crytek and I honestly thought the game stunk.

I just hope that all the people complaining about DirectX 11 here actually have a card / system that can handle DirectX 11. I for one happen to have a 9600GT with me and as such, it wont support DirectX11 which means that this add-on is practically useless for me (unless DirectX 10 support is included as well in which case I might give it a try but that is highly unlikely). So, on the DX11 front, I'm certainly not complaining. And if anybody having like an 8600 GT or an other such non DX11 compatible card is complaining, that would be really lame according to me !!!

I dont see why anyone would be concerned with a DX10 patch, DX10 is pretty much an inefficient version of DX9 with a few additional features that can be replicated through DX9 anyway. Think back to being able to unlock DX10 settings on DX9 systems in Crysis 1 with just one string term. Making the game DX10 compliant will offer virtually NO benefit. Probably the only reason why Crysis was DX10 was because it ran on GFWL.
DX11 on the other hand has Direct Compute and Tesselation which when executed correctly offer huge graphical fidelity increases. Its actually the future of gaming, DX10 was just garbage to sell Vista... if you dont believe me, check Unigine Heaven DX10 vs DX9 to see whether theres a perceptible difference.

Well, the ones with cards supporting DX10 but not DX11 like me. How exactly would a DX11 game run on my system given that its DX10 compatible but not DX11 ?? Is it that the DX11 instructions not recognizable by my DX10 video card would be executed by the CPU instead ???

Well here is my 2 cents..........................I was also very dissapointed when i bought this game and learned very quickly it was only dx 9.Alot of us here were pissed and demanded they release a dx11 patch and now it has been confirmed,so lets all be thankful for that much,we all paid for the game and own it, so i will welcome everything that comes forward to make it a better game.

+1 anyway
Crytek is just trying to fix their rep
let them do
high-res textures and DX 11 support and AI improove will not make sandbox or will not give some desctructable features into gameplay but it is enough to make this game presentable and quality-looking at least, not so console-like

Some DX11 instructions can't be executed at all on a system not supporting it. For example, tesselation in DX11 requires specific hardware.
Other instructions might be able to run on older hardware.

I still haven't got the limited edition content, i completed the game a few days ago and now it's shelved till the dx11 arrives, so i went back to bad company 2, and await Battlefield 3, which should blow crysis 2 outta the water, at least the online side of it.
I did enjoy the dx9 graphics, but of course it's 2011 already, dx9 is two generations behind the new five series nvidia.
It was hardly a PC release, that's for sure, aimed more at the consoles, ps3 5 years old, xbox 6 years old.
My graphics card cost five hundred dollars, give us some decent graphics already.

Don't worry about a DX11 patch. Most of us have finished the SP and it isn't going to help MP to be any better.
The MP aspect of the game svcks. I waisted $60 on this.
Hope F.E.A.R. 3 is good.
Also waiting for BF3

This is very true. The only way we'll get textures that look half-way as good as Crysis 1 is if they release some sort of new texture pack IN ADDITION to Directx 11.

Yeah the MP does svck considerind it was day one and assholes were all ready hacking the game. The console weenies got their way in destroying a good game cause of them crying that they wanted to play it to. So Lietek dumped down the graphics to DX9 WTF LIETEK!!!! You all said it would release with dx11 suport for the ones that could run the game that high. Sounds like you all have some work in front of u to make what u said true you bunch of liers. The auto aim Bull **** is stupid also if you console babys cant play your atari with out aim helpers go home retards.
