guess this will make everyone happy, but I'd like to give priority to fixing bugs. Of course DX11 will be more than welcome for my "gotta catch em all" collectibles campaign.

nope, I want multiplayer fixed, DX11 can come later. make the game features work first.

this game should have been released 6 months after march, it still looks like in beta phase

IMO the game looks just fine now, but rather than putting out a useless dx11 patch, a high-res textures patch and bugfixes for the Damn AI might be a better use of time and resources. But nooo you guys kept shouting "WHY NO DX11" and now look what we're getting...

The team working on DX11 aren't the same team working on textures and AI :)

If anyone missed this post. This means they are working on improving textures and improving AI as well as implementing Direct X 11.

Happy to see the good news has been posted! I had faith the entire time. I knew crytek wasn't finished developing the PC version. That's not how they roll.

eee so your saying that they work like this (?): we're gonna release product which is finished in 95% and then when the income will be satysfying then well see if we're gonna finish the job?

If thats how companies now making games then our children are screeeeeewed.

Doesn't this just say that the two teams are different?

This is good news indeed.

Whilst the PC release situation was a mess, far far better to be known for fixing the mess than sweeping it under the carpet.

I would have all the bugs patched first before DX 11.

As a software developer myself, I would let everybody know what functions I'm gonna do, what features I'm gonna implement..etc So, I would actually prefer, if Crytek would just keep us updated every week or so on their DX11 work, like what kind of feature of DX 11 they are gonna do... an example screenshot, that kind of thing.

And since it's a different team, I believe for the sake of those who do play multiplayer or face some game breaking bug, fix those bugs first.

A question. As a developer, have you ever experienced a feature or code that just wouldn't work no matter what you changed? I'd have to assume yes. After the uproar of crysis 2 being sub par on PC on release, I really doubt Crytek would want to tell everyone they will have XY features before they've tested it. Blame EA for a release that wasn't finished. This definitely isn't the first or last time it will happen.

At least Crytec are giving us a little extra, which is cool, EA probably hussled them for an early release, i hope they take their time with it, best not to rush things and **** everything up again.

I'm getting the feeling that this DX11 patch will just add some tessellation and nothing else. I doubt Crytek will bother with adding better textures. I am also expecting a solid drop in FPS as result of tessellation.

While I highly doubt Crytek will tell us anything about the development of this DX11 patch, I don't really think it will save Crysis 2 any more than the previous 2 useless patches did.

Cmon Crytek, it's time for a little update. It's been a while since the anouncement and after 68 pages this post is getting boring! Tell us something about what we can expect and when. Please, I'm waiting for the patch to replay the singleplayer. You know, "the way it's meant to be played"...

If the patch for DX11 is more or less complete (tesselation, high texture res., etc.) I expect a big patch maybe not less than 2Gb but i dont mind so long as they can deliver the much awaited DX11 patch ASAP
