Where's my DX11 Crytek? :(

your dx11??? haha

get real. you bought a game that supports Dx9 and 10. They promised "you" nothing (or me) and are not legally bound to provide Dx11 support. They do it because the want to. AND
IT
TAKES
TIME.

Honestly, you guys should try developing your own game some time. The Dx fairy died a long time ago. get over it. XD
You code, repair, code, debug, test, debug and debug and debug. You release and then you debug some more. It's going to take a couple of months at least more than likely.

And who the hell paid you ? -.-' Crytek marketed their game a dx 11 game with GREAT graphics.. that's why people are pissed of at them -.-

+1 The game WAS marketed with DX11 in mind. I think EA wanted to push it out earlier the game is not done IMO.

I herd that the reason for DX11 not beeing included in the game at release was that they started working on DX11 as late as in desember.
So they couldn't get it done in time.

I guess Crytek would have changed the release date to sometime in june or something if they were in charge, but I guess that EA told them to release on the same date and just make DX11 a patch

From what i remember Crysis 2 only supports dx9, not dx10. If i remember correctly the dx11 patch will also bring the dx10 support. Knowing that it takes time to have everything ready for dx11 why wasn't the development started earlier? a lot of people talk about how its a good idea that a patch was made instead of waiting for a fully released game, and i agree with that but Shogun: Total War did the exact same thing and they released the patch within the first 2 weeks, it didn't take them a full month for them to say a patch was coming....

The reason that people want the dx11 is because crysis and crysis warhead were used as visual benchmarks to show how good a game can look. This game looks good with dx9 but it could have been a lot better if done in dx11 and scaled down for the consoles. Some people spend more money on their computer to make their games look at its best than they would buying a console. i'm sure i'd be just as mad if i expected that i would get the most advance tech from a game that comes from a franchise that pushes the boundaries, and ends up only looking marginally better than on the consoles.

no man. I had a ps3 with crysis 2. I sold it and got a gtx560ti the graphics, game play, EVERYTHING is 75% better. It doesn't even compare especially if you tweak your card. When DX11 comes out the environment and characters will look better as well (fingers crossed) also a feature that consoles will not have. We will just have to wait and see though. As long as they fix the disconnects, crashes, and browser... and don't **** up the dx11 patch. I'll be happy camper..

That sounds reasonable to me. I just wish Crytek would come out and say it, if that is the case

There is a Dx10 dll in the bin folder. Whether or not it's used for sure, I don't know. Still looking into it.

And to the others that enjoyed picking up on the marketing thing... pfft. whatever. It doesn't matter. The box i have in front of me (limited edition) says nothing about Dx11, only that Dx9.0c is required. ... just like most games. What they said last year is irrelevant. Those are not binding promises. it's called buyer beware folks. svcks, yes, but that's the way it is.

Making the people wait is Crytek just TESTING people. Who really loves crysis/crytek is going to stay till the end. Who ever leaves in the middle, isn't a true fan.

As for me, Just the sound of "Crysis" makes me enjoy it. I dont care about the glitches or graphics. It already looks good even on the Lowest graphics setting (or should I say "High" haha).

Basically, Crytek is smart. I love them and thanks to Cevat Yerli for creating such an extraordinarily game.

if the game sdk comes out in summer, and will have DX11 the game, that is deductible, minimum stay 1 month and 3 months maximum, but please Crytek, put images of DX11 to pass the time faster, the wait is terrible...

who wants pictures DX11?

if you want DX11 Crysis 2 pictures, put DX11 pictures, thanks
