Where's my DX11 Crytek?
your dx11??? haha
get real. you bought a game that supports Dx9 and 10. They promised "you" nothing (or me) and are not legally bound to provide Dx11 support. They do it because the want to. AND
IT
TAKES
TIME.
Honestly, you guys should try developing your own game some time. The Dx fairy died a long time ago. get over it. XD
You code, repair, code, debug, test, debug and debug and debug. You release and then you debug some more. It's going to take a couple of months at least more than likely.
From what i remember Crysis 2 only supports dx9, not dx10. If i remember correctly the dx11 patch will also bring the dx10 support. Knowing that it takes time to have everything ready for dx11 why wasn't the development started earlier? a lot of people talk about how its a good idea that a patch was made instead of waiting for a fully released game, and i agree with that but Shogun: Total War did the exact same thing and they released the patch within the first 2 weeks, it didn't take them a full month for them to say a patch was coming....
The reason that people want the dx11 is because crysis and crysis warhead were used as visual benchmarks to show how good a game can look. This game looks good with dx9 but it could have been a lot better if done in dx11 and scaled down for the consoles. Some people spend more money on their computer to make their games look at its best than they would buying a console. i'm sure i'd be just as mad if i expected that i would get the most advance tech from a game that comes from a franchise that pushes the boundaries, and ends up only looking marginally better than on the consoles.
