No DX11 patch yet and already stopped playing

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 3:56 am

I'm already bored, not played for 2 weeks in a row.

Will try again once DX11 is deployed (may be next year lol)

Is this happening to you?

I made a decision a couple of weeks ago to leave Bad Company 2, and am currently playing MW2, i physically can't play the MP side of Crysis 2 due to the blur and i'll probably wait until the next patch before i re-play the campaign.
I havent played much of the Crysis 2 MP so i still look forwards to it.

why do u need DX11 so badly atm? if its for SP i get it but DX11 is bad for multiplayer u know why? because it would cause ur keyboard and mouse to lag... i can play it at like 50 or 60 fps on extreme but i still use high so my input doesnt lag at all

The fix of the bugs and the cheater issue are far more important that the DX11 release.

Besides, I hope DX11 be optional cause the graphics are very nice and the game is running smooth.

The game with DX11 wont run smooth unless u have a very powerful computer.

I think the game itself is great, I just can′t stand the **** lobby. Totally ruined the game for me, and now I′ve stopped playing :(

playing MP and enjoy it. probably, becouse i didn't play CoD MP
anyway i stopped BC2 and i need to fill the time while BF3 is realeasing
i doubt Crytek will make huge MP maps instead of mouse holes we got to play on for now and bring some vehicles into MP, so my playing Crysis 2 MP will stop at the day of BF3 realease i think
but it is some 0.00001% of a miracle if Crytek will really upgrade MP in Crysis 2
but it is still just 0.00001% lol

60+ hours put into Crysis 2. I'm done with it lol. This is definately a lot more hours than I put into Crysis 1 and most other games I have. So I think I made a very solid purchase with Crysis 2 lol.

I'm going to probably play Mortal Kombat now on my PS3. Offline of course >_> Good thing I have a lot of friends who can play locally lol. Otherwise I wouldn't be gaming at all haha

I've spent over 135 hours on C2.
25h on SP
110 on MP

The map rotation + lack in gun variation and module variation got to me.
Can't stand those maps anymore and guns feel just meh too easy to use or compleatly usless (K-Volt)

I never played COD, so I can't comment on the similarity in the MP, but I really enjoy it. It reminds me a lot of CS with the fast pace of the game play and you can get quite creative with the nanosuit on many of the MP maps.

The SP was not like I was expecting it to be (in comparison to C1), but I suppose you can't put that much massive amount of detail into an urban environment and still keep the game well optimized. Certainly it would be possible, but I think it would be very difficult to do, perhaps leading to more loading sequences? I still enjoyed the SP enough that I will play it again at some point.

What bothers me the most about the game, however, is the lack of tie-in with the first game. I know C2 takes places 3 years after C1, but there is very little reference to what happened to Psycho and Nomad. I also found the lack of voice acting by Alcatraz to be a bit cheesy. Maybe CryTek couldn't find an adequate voice actor for Alcatraz or really wanted to leave it all to that final line at the end of the game? Who knows. Perhaps with a bit more work on the story then the transformation from Alcatraz into Alcatraz/Prophet could have been made better? I'm not a game developer nor am I a writer of fiction - I teach English and study business and IT...
