Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:39 am

Here are my specs

Two Evga Superclocked GTX 460s in SLI
6gb of RAM Overclocked to 850 mhz

1.5 TB 7200 RPM Western Digital
--------------------------------------------
Now its playable with everything on ultra and shadows on very high and hi rez enabled at 1920x1080 only problem is I play with one gpu same performance this is clear evidence I have a bottleneck Im putting an i7 in and 8 gb of ram next week on a new mobo do you think my performance will increase? Sorry for the noob question Just a wondering crysis girl :P

Does it 'bottleneck' when you have objects set to extreme and everything else on ultra?

yeah without a doubt if you get an i7 you frames will go through the roof, you will get a huge increase, crysis 2 loves cpu power, oh yeah you will also need to overclock your i7 to 3.6 or higher. the ram won't make a difference so much. with the i7 it will be a world of difference when its overclocked.

Yeah, you CPU is the bottleneck, so overclock your CPU as much as you can or think about upgrading to a i5/i7 3Ghz. The downside to that is you need a new, motherboard and ram. :p

AMD have the best price Vs performance though.
