I concur with all other PC users. DX-10 and DX-11 option SHOULD have been shipped/included in the PC retail game.
AND NO I WILL NOT PAY FOR A DX-10/DX-11 PATCH!!!!!
You should have made the game for the PC with DX-9 - DX11 capabilities.....We all would have waited until the GAME WAS FINISHED AND POLISHED ( $60 for a buggy unfinished XBOX-360 port to PC game!!!!!) I was one of the first to get the game on release day for the PC

WHAT I should have done was wait a year (don't pirate the game as it takes money from the game makers)
BECAUSE I PAID to be one of the first to play this AAA Title.... I FEEL LIKE I WAS THE ONE THAT GOT MY MONEY TAKEN AWAY FROM ME!!!!!
WHILE I'M ON A ROLL....YOU SHOULD PAY ALL PC USERS $xx (other posters please add a $ amount) TO DOWNLOAD THIS PATCH!!!!
I THINK IT SHOULD ALSO BE WITH ALL FUTURE/ADDITIONAL PATCHES THAT YOU RELEASE TO MAKE THE GAME PLAYABLE ON THE PC!!!!!!!!
VALVE (HALF LIFE 2) made and verified that game worked on a ATI RADEON 9700 PRO video card before they released it IN 2004!!!!!!!
HERE IS A EXCERPT FROM WIKIPEDIA.COM ON HALF LIFE 2.........
Like its predecessor, Half Life 2 was met with near-unanimous critical acclaim,[10][11] and was praised for its advanced physics, animation, sound, AI, rendering, and narrative. The game won 39 "Game of the Year" awards,[12] and several publications have named it "Game of the Decade".[13][14][15][16] Over 6.5 million copies of Half-Life 2 were sold at retail by December 3, 2008, making it a best selling PC game.[17] This figure does not include the significant number of sales through Steam.[18] Forbes reported on February 9, 2011 that the game has sold 12 million copies.[19]
