DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED in SP

Disclaimer: I looked high and low for a tech support board to no avail, yet, please, if this is in the wrong place just let me know and I will move it/take it down.
Anyways..
I just bought and downloaded Crysis 3 from Origin and played through the tutorial for kicks and giggles with no problems in any respect. I then started up the campaign game and I was able to play for maybe 5 minutes until the first cut scene where you receive the bow. Upon reaching this point, my game hangs, then I am greeted with an error message titled "CryEngineError" that reads DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED. I'm fairly sure I'm not taking out my GPU while playing the game, so it must be something either driver or game related. Is there any fix for this issue? My specs/settings are below.

SPECS
Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.8GHz (Turbo boost, CIE, etc. enabled)
8192MB (4 x 2GB) G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600
PNY GTX 580 (1.5GB VRAM) @ Stock Voltages/Timings (running the 314.07 WHQL drivers)
Biostar T5XE CFX-SLI Motherboard
Corsair 750W Gold Certified PSU
1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium x64

If there's anything else you need that might help just let me know.

Thanks,
