"A dying Spriggan causes the heavens to open up"

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 11:32 pm

I was wondering through the forrest and I received this message. Did I do something wrong? This seems really strange because I wasn't fighting Spriggans. Any clues on what this means would be great.

It's from MMM. The death of certain creatures (but is it really Spriggans?) will cause rain. At least theoretically - the feature doesn't seem to work with my current mod list.

Thanks buddy, that explains why it suddenly started raining after a sunny day :)

I've never seen it rain when a tree ent dies - but then it never seems to happen right in front of me.

So I guess that is a feature I never understood either.

Yes its attached to the Spriggan and Sprite(?). Some other creature/npc kills one in your loaded cells and you can get their 'on death' effect rain or thunderstorm.
I edited it out of the script because it would mess with EnhancedWeather.

I always got an oblivion gate storm when the death of an ent caused the heavens to open up... Even though I never killed one. But isn't the effect gone now? I only get a curse of some type when I kill a spriggan or sprite. No weather changes.

Oh, it's from MMM? I think that it works for me. (not sure because I haven't played since January, but I think it started raining)

I'm not sure what to think about it. I'm not really fan of rain so maybe it could be annoying. At least now I know what to edit.

Hm, I must check why it never works for me - since a rather long time in fact.

Also, I never even get the message with Spriggans AFAIK - must have killed dozens of them by now during this game.

EDIT: Thinking of it, most Spriggans have probably been Berserkers from WarCry so they wouldn't be affected.

It doesn't mess with All Natural and vice versa.

Forest Ents will bring about rain upon death as well.

Actually, I haven't killed it too - some bad guys or beasts did it. Then it started to rain.

I have seen the line but not the rain. That would be cool...
