Did you play Fallout 3/NV? Remember how you could look through your rifles scope and see the distant enemy real good? It's that useful of a Perk.

And possibly the most game- & immersion-breaking perk for archery.

I love it as it gives you the feeling that you are really focusing on the target, just like a real archer does. It's a shame that arrows still just disappear when fired at targets past a certain point though (and the target still reacts and goes into alert status).

It's useless unless you do that .ini tweak that fixes the arrow range limit. I never use it because I think it looks stupid and I can aim just as well without it.

This is ridiculous, at some point realism ends and practicality begins. I'm not physically holding a bow and arrow I'm watching in a screen so a little zoom is helpful since things aren't life sized.

Its mildly beneficial as an occasional telescope. The only REAL reason to get it IMO is so you can then advance to the next perk, Power Shot, which is HIGHLY effective. The stagger keeps enemies away and really, really is useful for those darned spellcasters.

agreed. I get really tired of people complaining about realism... I mean come on, if you really want realism, any fight that takes you below 3/4 health would mean at least a week of recuperation, no potions or magic (which again is not real, but very fun in a game) and anything that takes you below 1/4 may not leave you dead, but would be like getting an arrow in the knee... get over your realism and enjoy the damn game already.

p.s. I love the eagle eye.

Its a very useful perk if you want to use archery effectively at all IMO. Besides the time slowdown (which I use despite being "unrealistic" so there) the zoom-in is probably the best perk in the archery skill tree.

Quite useful. Use it all the time. And it hasn't broken the "immersion" for me yet. :)

im with this guy
and for the realism you still have to account for drop and raise, movement and when you get the time slow one to boot you feel like your hunting only people not turkeys or deer

some of my best moments are long shots that took me a wile to judge it cause you only get one shot at a giant from far enough away that his mammoths dont trample you to dust you want it a good one

The zoom is a magical effect perk, like when you can make heavy armor suddenly weigh nothing, or you can crouch and magically disappear when you level up sneak enough! No seriously though, when you're playing a game where you launch fireballs from your hands while fighting dragons and can literally shout someone to death, realism is the last thing we should be talking about.

If you consider yourself an archer character, definitely get Eagle Eye. 'Nuff said, really.

That's ridiculous. You can aim just as well without the perk. It doesn't even come close to the usefulness of Ranger (allows you to circle-strafe kite) and Power Shot which is our biggest defense against 2-shotting mages.

Also, Steady Hand is a waste of 2 perk points if you're not playing with a thumbstick. It slows you down as well so doesn't make leading targets any easier.

Yes, because the ability to magically see further certainly doesn't fit in with a game that has fire breathing dragons, elves, Daedric entities, magical spells, and talking dogs.
