what i dont understand is why would they make zenimax employees work on a sunday and allow for tripple overtime pay? (assuming thier union workers idk)

wouldnt it be logical to just do this on the friday Before? and allow us to have the weekend playing?

it would be a win-win for everyone!

employees will not be over worked and tired out working early sunday morning,

the FULL House zenimax staff will be there on friday to assure a perfect launch!

we players are able to enjoy a full weekend of playtime,

being a friday = everyones happy!

I would have thought that a noon NA start would have made more sense so that the poor west coast peeps didn't feel the need to stay up all night or get up really early. It works fine for me on the east coast but even for me a 8 or 9 time would have been better and noon would have been perfect. It will be agony for the west coast.

Anyway, what's with the 3 day start?
I was under the impression that pre-orders got 5 days and that was it.
So who gets 3 days?

There are 2 diffrent kinds of preorder, some get 5 days and some get 3 days.

I bought mine from official store so I got the 5 days, I actually spent ~10 euro extra for that (+also making sure I have the game on time)

Ya i noticed if you dont get it from the offical store, the standard edition is 3 days, but its 5 days from the offical store, i hope thats right.

Keep in mind that in every weekend beta, the servers were open well before the announced time. Speculation is that it was done on purpose in order to allow players to "trickle in". Power users in this forum will of course now all log in at 4am, crashing the servers, which will be taken offline for a maintenance patch and then re-opened at 7am.

Works well for me too, I'm up at 7am every day as a habit so it's perfect. I can do my "actually waking up" routine while the inevitable patch downloads, or the inevitable queue whirls, or most likely both.

Nice.. work until 12am Saturday.. Will get home..go to bed and be up by 6am.. I know the servers will be up earlier then 7am. Now I have 1 week to decide on my racial/class.

4:00 am Sunday March 30 th here. I'll be waking the chickens up that morning....
