My goodness to the people that are blaming Crytek for this leak.
Crytek isn't alone to show their work.

There are other parties involved like:
Electronic arts,
NVidia
Other (3rd) parties.

Think about that before you blame it on Crytek (alone).

"Piracy continues to damage the PC development community."

Cheap ports from console to PC continues to hurt the PC gaming community.

Not to mention the bank accounts of the developers who make them.

I think everybody should just shut the **** up and let them do their thing. What happened, happened, there's no going back.

But stop with the pointless posting.

Wait for the game, buy it, play it.

That's it. Done and move on.

Yep, Crytek was really dumb to do this. They'll be facing EA's wrath if it all goes wrong. Or, who knows, maybe EA told them to do it. But like I've said before, the lockouts are obvious. Even if you load up the editor to play the game, they've locked out full screen, so you couldn't use it. I would say that is the most glaring of the lockouts. As for the DRM key, please, thats some really cheap DRM. Not like it was a Securom or StarForce key.
They could afford to lose it.

I'm just wondering now if they're going to get sued by those third parties for doing it.

Here are some facts that I have been collecting and heard;

1. Someone uploaded the build to a E.A. open server. Not sure if that was an employee of Crytek or E.A.
2. The build date can be correct, but the build was rebuild with removed items, just to show aparticular parts of the game.

Whats done is done for now. And I hope that Crytek would sell more and we still get Crysis 3(which I doubt for now)

I supect that we don't hear anything of what they are doing on the background. Sure they would grab and try to nail down of who did it. I suggest to "report" all those Youtube's to mark as "Spam".

Bok!

Not sure if Crytek would like your reply. If that was a PC version of the "Beta" leak.
By downloading it, you support that we don't get games on PC.

People like "you" are detroying the PC Market.

If you talk about the XBox 'beta' ok sorry.

I have found forums with similar information except that was 2007 and it regards Crysis 1. Everybody seemed to be under the impression that was an illegal download at that time.

It's a business and if sufficient profits are made more games should follow. It is not like Crytek have a huge conflict of interests as Microsoft do as a rival hardware manufacturer to the PC platform.

Piracy in and of itself is not a problem the problem is lost sales and as long as there is money in the PC version developers (who understand business) will support it. The problem is at the moment that most dev's don't even seem to make a connection between selling more copies and actually making a good job of the PC version (this should be obvious).

As a result PC is not so profitable for them regardless of piracy and the dev's I'm thinking of probably don't get much of that either if they're honest because their PC ports svck balls.

very sad to hear this,

i wonder how this leaked out, but neverthless, i tottaly support Crysis/Crytek.
with both the Nano on order from EA, and the L/E from game, Piracy will mess up PC gaming I hope you all continue to support the game in the proper manner.

Piracy is most definatly a big problem on PC and i know for a fact that Eggbox also has many duff copies of games out there also, not as if eggbox needs to they can trade 2nd hand games all the time, and thousands of pounds worth of revenue is lost in new sales this way as mates can swap all the time.

the whole thing is a mess.

whats wrong in paying a decent price for a good product,, these sort of ppl would rob there family.

Well you can count on me that I won't pirate a game like this (not that I would for any game) I've got it pre-ordered anyway so it's a closed deal :P

This was released by one of the marketing teams for EA/Crytek/nVidia....
Pirates are the best way for free game/software marketing because they will play the game and then praise it...thus making others (non-pirates) buy it.)
