Easel wanted:)

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 6:25 am

Good morning fellow adventurers.
It seems my searches have proved vain but maybe there is still chance. I am currently decorating my "haunted" manor in Anvil. Done with placing books on shelves and decorating my alchemy lab (and other things to make it look homely... with a little necromantic hint :)) The only problem I encountered was when i decided to place an easel along with paint brushes and polettes in the basemant area of the house. It seems there is no such object in the game and easels are part of static environment of the game. Only option seems to be the Reward painting that comes with an easel but it is already framed and doesn't resemble a freshly made sketch:)
Maybe there are add-ons you know of that add this item? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Are you on PC? If so you can mod an easel into your basemant. It would not be a hard thing to do. I'd be happy to guide you through the process if you're interested.

Would be great, thank you:) I suppose I need to download construction set first though?

@http://www.gamesas.com/user/30535-mrdarksim/: It's not so much my own painting that I'd like to add, but rather an atmosphere of an artist studio if that makes sense :)

As long as the mod didnt specify, you probably wont need the construction set.

Look at the first mods images. One guy set up something similar to what you're asking for I believe.

Ok, my eyes are red and I haven't slept most of the night and I blame the CS for that! What was initially a plan to add an easel into a basemant of an existing house ended up in an idea of building my own
I must say I was quite inspired by browsing other people's mods. Guessing I should be grateful to them for not making a perfect house for me though as this very circumstance has pushed my to a thought of creating my own. Currently practicing with simple things, but CS does not look as complex a tool as I thought it to be which is rather encouraging for someone who has no modelling experience whatsoever. Wish me luck I guess :).

Yep, that's how it starts. You want to change one little detail. The next thing you know you've gotten yourself entangled in a large modding project. And without knowing quite how it happened that project will lead you into another modding project...and then another. Before you know it several years will have passed. A new game in the series will have been released. And then another game. And you will be shocked to realize that you've been here ten years and that you're still modding. *sigh*

And the funniest thing is that easel is not even part of my new house interior:)
So far so good as little things I have done are pure cosmetic so do not require cs wiki (I hate reading). But I quess reading is inevitable at some point in the future
Desided to start with Benirus manor that I now rightfully own.
