No thanks.
Grenades are real weapons in Fallout and not some kinda support crap one can just toss out like they don't mean anything.
Best stick to having the player equip them as a weapon than having a COD button for it. (No idea if COD has it, Borderlands do though, so if COD does not then replace it with Borderlands)
Yes, they are real weapons- and the real way they are used, is that when you are shooting at your opponents with a gun or whathaveyou, and you decide to toss a grenade, you don't holster your pistol or sling your gun on your back to use one. You keep your weapon in your offhand, pull a grenade off of your webgear/belt/frontpockets, toss it, and then keep on shooting without some stupidly long, clumsy and unnatural unequip/reequip period to them. In FNV, due to the unnaturally slow method of equipping, using, and then unequipping any grenade, it is usually a choice between ONLY using grenades during most of the fight (kinda svcks when they inevitably turn melee), from the beginning, and being gimped and mostly helpless while fumbling with trying to re-equip another weapon while being chewed on for the rest of the fight... or just not using them at all. Yes, Fallout is an RPG, but it has also included a lot of FPS abilities. And if you are going to do so, you may as well do them right. They could make the game a whole lot less clunky and unnatural (something I would hope an 'RPG' would be aiming to accomplish) by using more standard and sensible PC combat techniques that have been industry-standards for years. Not asking for arcade-y crap, just the sensible stuff. Like this. The way they were implemented in the Fallout games is just a stupid, clumsy and unreal PITA. You could tell they didn't have a clue what they were doing when they tried to implement this stuff. Mod please... thanks.
