Easiest Way To Get Into Orc Strongholds.

***The title of this thread should have been "Easiest Way To Become Blood-Kin With The Orcs (Assuming You Are Not An Orc)***

There is a quest in Karthwasten to assist with the ownership of the mine nearby. If you kill the Silver Bloods or persuade them to leave, you will receive 1000 gold from Ainethach. But, to me, the real prize comes from an Orc named Lash gra-Dushnikh. She thanks you for helping out the miners in Karthwasten and sends word to all of the Orc strongholds that the Dragonborn is "cool... let him in."

(Note that I have not helped any Orcs prior to this.)

Blood-Kin accomplished. You may freely enter the strongholds and grab that Orc follower you've been wanting for so long!

Cool! I haven't tried that yet. Are there a lot of books to collect?

You can also open the door, just ignore the constant, "you dont belong here" coments, and dont enter long houses.

Right. But the Orc followers won't give you the option to joining you until you're Blood-Kin though, no?

I think the whole collecting book quest is a recurring quest.

But I'm not exactly sure of the amount.

Quote from the wiki: "Once the player has collected enough of the misc quest books for Urag he sends word to Orc Strongholds that the player should be allowed entry."

One of the Orc-chiefs is master trainer for one-handed. He won't be available unless you're blood kin.

Another one (at the stronghold between Solitude and Markarth) is a Master trainer in Block. Since I mostly use two handed weapons, gaining access helped me level up a few times.

The orc smith in the keep at Markath (not the one outside in the main town area) will also grant access to the orc strongholds if you retrieve an item for him (a daedra heart, IIRC).

I retrived the fingers of the black smith. And they made me blood kin. But I think I should have kept those, they increase items you smith by 20 or 25 %.

What if you've already got an Orcish bounty on your head? Will doing these aforementioned tasks put you back in good standing?
