Easiest way to get red edges on screen?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2016 11:08 am

I spent a few hours playing with the image space modifier system but that colors the entire view.

I looked at overlays and that is above my skill set.

Any Other way to get a flash of red on the edge of the screen (this is for pain simulation)? If there is no other way I will do what I did in *Oblivion but that was very crude and I hoped Skyrim would have a better and straightforward method.

* spawn and deleted a 2d sprite type object in front of the camera.

Game.TriggerScreenBlood(Amount) maybe? It's not around the edges of the screen, but it might be suitable for what you want?

Actually IMOD is what you want. Set and play around with only the Radial Blur settings (plus the Cinematic Tint for whatever colour you want to set).

More info on the http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=ImageSpace_Modifiers. Looks like the Start setting determines the radius of the non-blurred area - 1.0 is no blur, so maybe a 0.85 for edges?

The problem is that the red tint is not confined to the blur radius. I disliked the way it looked (entire screen red) in the test view in the CK.

However, trying it in the game (the red flash on the entire screen is not so bad) I decided it looks close enough to what I original wanted.

Thanks guys!
