Easy max Sneak skill

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 7:40 am

BARELY ACTUALLY A SPOILER WARNING :

When you go up to the throat of the world and get done talking to Paarthurnax for the 1st time , go squat behind him and start hacking away at his butt while in sneak , sneak skill goes up VERY quickly this way , but don't do it while detected or he will get into an actual fight with you

He is an oblivious moron , he will not turn around and attack you as long as you are undetected in stealth behind him tearing his scaly butt up , when I was done getting to lvl 100 I got out of sneak and walked up to him and pushed X on him and he just continues acting like you never did anything to him , and has his regular text options

So yeah , just thought I'd share this.... easy sneak skill

You might need to if you suddenly start getting your ass kicked in the wilds now thanks to all the levels you gained.

It boosted me just 5 levels , I'm not sure how its much worse than visiting the sneak trainer and paying for 5 level ups per level....... except that doing that would have left a small crum of XP to get otherwise per each of those 5 levels

So I think if that puts me to gimp on my other skills for my level , that they aren't THAT far behind.... right?

Higher levels mean tougher opponents, and if you gained levels by increasing skills that do not help you beat those opponents, then you are in trouble (for instance speech, lockpicking, ...). However, I think that sneaking is useful. I don't know if you should reload.

I use a different method myself. Every beast / npc I kill I proceed to resurrect and then kill again using sneak attacks. It also helps my follower is also a conjurer, so I kill her beasts too from time to time.

I love this so much. The people that power leveled all the non-combat skills, or the skills they won't use so they can hit 50 quickly... and are now getting owned. I love it when they cry.

So I'm 100 Sneak 58 Archery and 44 One Handed at lvl 25 , but apparently that doesn't stop me from 1 shotting enemies with sneak attacks as far as I'm seeing

I don't think its that bad , because before I did this I was... like 77 Sneak 58 archery and 44 one handed... at lvl 21... (Not a big difference)

Unfortunately I see no easy way to train one handed because I think I murdered the trainer , and the other trainer (Allegedly in the companions guild) does not display an option to train me (Do I have to join the damn companions guild 1st?)

Edit : Bahaha... the final sneak skill makes it worry free anyway , even if someone could kick my ass I can just crouch to vanish and then sneak up on them for the kill , but yeah I'm testing this right now and I'm not seeing any increase in difficulty

Tested in some bandit cave I was never in before , and I had read enemies levels are set the 1st time you walk into a zone so they surely must be lvl appropriate but I'm doing fine in here , even 1 shot their chief still

Also even if it was a problem , all of my levels to come will now have more combat skills condensed into them , so it will even out and fix itself even if it was an issue

However if someone trained to 100 sneak at lvl 1 , I could see why it might get ugly

Uh.. leveling sneak makes it FAR easier to kill things than not leveling it.. so not he didn't 'over-level'.

If it was lockpicking you might have a point but even then not really. This isn't Oblivion, if you finish the game before level 50-60 you purposely did it.

Well a random blood dragon just whooped my ass to the point of me having to flee , but they could do that before I did this anyway... so I'm not sure if that counts
