Easy way to avoid Brynjolf's forced dialogue

Post » Tue May 14, 2013 2:38 pm

When I entered the market place area of Riften, I was in the middle of moving something with the 'hold down A/X/whatever it is for PC' command, Brynjolf approached me giving the usual "Never worked an honest day in your life for all that coin you carry, eh lass?" thing but it was just as a passing remark, and then he went back to his stall. Try doing that. There, that aught to quell complaints, right?

I just hit B (on the 360) once he starts conversation. It's still kind of annoying, but he won't bother you after that.

There is a reason why the Mod "No NPC Greetings" was one of the only two mods I used on the game. It was installed during the first week of the game's release.

Now, I have to activate an NPC before they talk to me.

If you go to the forge the first time you enter Riften, and start working it, he will approach.

Keep working the forge, he will give his spiel three times then walk away without saying "I can take a hint" and the quest will not appear in your log :D
