Easy way to modify Z value on many statics?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:48 am

Hi all,

I'm playing around with tree resources and have found when swapping things around the trees are often to low in the Z axis and thus are buried to deep into the ground.

What is the easiest way to remedy this en masse, like a couple of thousand records?

Modify the model or is there a tool out there that would allow me to achieve this programmatically etc?

Please let me know.

Thanks

You could use a script or program (Perl comes to mind, since everybody seems to use it, but Python should work (and has a TES library)) to do it, or just select them all and move them. I don't think anything exactly like it exists, although if it does, john.moonsugar made it.

you can download http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/ and open the model of the tree. once in nifskope, select the ninode on the left hand side, rightclick\transform\edit. change the z-value of the mesh. rightclick a second time on the ninode, select transform\apply. save your file and you're done ;)
