I started playing TES with Oblivion and really enjoyed both it and Skyrim, so I thought I'd give Morrowind a try. I'm amazed at how tough it is. Really, I keep getting my ass handed to me. I play Skyrim on legendary difficulty with few issues, but Morrowind on normal is hard in comparison.

My issue is this: I don't want to just set the difficulty slider down - I'd feel like I was cheating. So are there any classes/builds/birthsigns/race combos that would make my life a lot easier? Is there any one playstyle which is clearly superior to others?
