Or Gauntlet! Warrior is about to die but then luckily you'd find a couple of chicken dinners to stave off death.

I'd love that, but I'd opt that it doesn't turn off during combat so you can't heal during combat unless you basically stop fighting (and same with potions).

Gothic One and Two were like that and I thought it was great.

I'm not holding my breath though, not even for optional paid DLC. It's clear the devs have no interest at all in anything like this, or any kind of realism, roleplaying, hardcoe mode either.

Nice idea though.

An animation wheel or command list would be good. I have suggested this before the game was launched but the Powers That Be has not seen fit to include it.

Basically, like what you find in most MMORPGs, you get a special list of animation to choose from and some of them have ingame uses.

Eating (Double effect when eating slowly)
Drinking (Double effect when drinking slowly)
Sitting (Regenerate HP, MP, SP faster by 100%)
Dancing
Clapping
Play equipped instrument
Sleeping (With portable tent in inventory)
Kissing (Only with spouse)

Then take out that annoying activation for tables/chairs so picking up things will not suddenly force you to watch a 3 second animation. Use the animation wheel when you are near instead to sit on those.

The final good point is that modders get a place to place their own animation triggers, instead of as a spell, or when equipping an item.

This is a really interesting idea. I'd use that mod, for sure. :)

Excuse me?

If I have something to say that doesn't violate the rules of the board, I will say it, and in a manner I wish as my own expression.

But don't think you can tell someone else to shut up just because you don't like what they're saying. Hypocrite.
im not talking about the rules, im talking about human behavior, and i respect opinions of other, but the way you sayed whas stupid and inmature, and im not going to reply to your comments anymore cuz im not in the mood to start a war, i whant to hear others opinions and not waste my time with you, so have a nice day

One of the first things I did after making my first character was to visit the Whiterun Inn, chit-chat with locals, and grab a little bite to eat. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't extremely disappointed to find there's no animation! :(

It doesn't necessarily make the game any worse off, but, like you said, it does add a little RP and immersion element that I certainly wouldn't be opposed to.

My thoughts entirely. Shouldn't the taverns/inns be a place of rest outside of the rush of combat? I feel that the animations would add to the sense of a slower pace and a more relaxing feeling. It also seems like a good idea to be able to tell stories about your adventures to other people... I'm sure how such a thing could be implemented into the game, but it would be a nice touch.

But what evens it out is the painful detail to food which excites my appetite! Skyrim saved me from anorexia.
