Is the newfound Ebonarm fad mostly due to the rumorsz that TESV will be in Skyrim?
The second is an idea. It takes a few other ideas I've seen floating about and organizes them. it's just a hunch, with little evidence from sources, but sometimes a hunch is all you need.
Now, Stendarr is this (From TIL) :
Stendarr is the patron of righteous might and merciful forbearance. He is the inspiration of magistrates and rulers, the patron of the Imperial Legions, and the comfort of the law-abiding citizen. Stendarr has evolved from his Nordic origins into a deity of compassion or, sometimes, righteous rule. He is said to have accompanied Tiber Septim in his later years. In early Altmeri legends, Stendarr is the apologist of Men.
Okay. Now I've heard some people saying that maybe Stendarr is the Imperial version of Ebon Arm. And that got me thinking: Maybe that's true? I think that it may have gone this way:
1. Ebon Arm fulfills a more Nordic version of Stendarr. He is a god for the Nords who helped Alessia.
2. Alessia invents the Eight Divines. She melds the "Apologist of Men" from the Altmeri slavemasters with the Nordic version to make an Ebon Arm Lite, so to speak.
3. Later Empires turn the concepts further from original Nordic. Justice and Mercy are no longer swift, honorable deaths as warriors but enslavement under thier Imperialistic rule.
Well, that's it so far. Please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors as the caffene won't work through my system completely for another ten minutes or so.
