Ebonheart House Mod v1.5

Post » Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:50 am

The other day I was playing Morrowind with the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6002 by Yellowdude installed.

Once I located the entrance and activate the door this http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/9312/mgescreenshot14.png pop up.
I've really no idea what the missing object is, so I would appreciate help from anyone who have any knowledge about this.

I can only guess that object is from a mod or something. Thanks in advance. :)

I can only say that the reference is to either a book or a note, indicated by the "Bk" at the beginning of the object ID, that being said however, I don't know what mod it comes from, though I assume it would be relatively easy to find out by just hitting the details button in the CS and looking to see what mod that object is referenced in......I'm sure there is an easier way, but that is how I would find it.

Edit: BTW, there any reason you have so many house mods in that list? :P

Thanks for your quick reply matilija.

The only thing I notice was a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Dwemer_Scarab_Plans on the lower book shelf in the single room.

Yes, I really want to test those house mods. :D

It looks to me like the person that made Ebonheart_House_Mod.ace accidentally created a dependency on objects from other mods. Some mod he had loaded defined the object bk_armionalphabet, but since he didn't include that object and didn't document the dependency, it's not even worth using.

That was the first thought that occur to me, because when I check that mod in the Wrye Mash SA it only shown Morrowind.esm it's dependency.

Is there any way to remove that *bad* reference in any tool without change the plugin to much?

Enchanted Editor can probably do that, but I've never used it.

Either do I, but thanks anyway John. :)

I'm still optimist that I can use another tool.

Well, if command line tools are okay with you my http://code.google.com/p/mlox/wiki/Tes3cmd#delete_-_Delete_records/subrecords/object_instances_from_plugin command should be able to do it. The command would be:

tes3cmd delete --instance-match bk_armion "Ebonheart House Mod V1.5.esp"

(the latest version of tes3cmd is tes3cmd-0.37o-2010.08.20)

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=other.detail&id=53 is also very good. open the esp with it then scroll until you find the dirty reference. unfortunatly the only tutorial for it I know is in french.

Enchanted Editor (and Tesame) are very easy to use.
Just open the esp, find the object (probably under the Book section) and delete it. Be sure to Save, too.

Thank you guys for the input of useful information. :)

john.moonsugar: I appreciate your suggestion about the tes3cmd with the line command, but I think I'm gonna to save it as a last resort if nothing else isn't working.

Sankekur1: Apparently the tesame doesn't work for me when I tried to remove a reference of that mod. Perhaps a translated tutorial for tesame is available somewhere.

Pluto: Well it seems to me I must learn how the Enchanted Editor really works, because I begin to know now how powerful that tool really is.

I'm grateful for your help and again thank you guys.
