Ebony Boots found : IV

In the last quest of the Winterhold mage's quest, (where you fight that litch king) there is a little pool of water in the same room as the litch (with the staff of magnus). when you enter it, there are steps down to a chest with the ebony boots in it. Not sure if it was random loot. But there is a chest down there in any event.

So?

I found them on Boethiah's Champion in Boethiah's Quest.

And I can smith them.

And I can make Daedric Armor which is better.

I'm lost on how this is a revelutionary discovery.

I got an ebony shield and ebony boots enchanted with 50% fire resist from the same place. I think it's random and/or scaled to your level. Or maybe it's just always ebony, but it varies which pieces.

If it's in a chest, it's random.

Also, this isn't that great of a discovery.

If you want Ebony Boots in a set place. Go to Narzulbur, the Orc Stronghold south-east of Windhelm. There are boots lying next to a hut, you have to steal them though.

Hmm. Wasn't aware that opinions weren't allowed on this forum.

Also, anything located in a chest is random loot. Depends on level and luck.

Never did any of those things. I just said a chest contains random loot, so if you search it, you won't always get ebony boots. Then I gave help in finding ebony boots in a set location.

I'm not going to argue over something like this.

well then, take from this thread that there is a chest in that small pond in the room with Moreki (sp?). I overlooked it 3 times myself. What's in the chest is what's in it. But there's a chest hidden there. That's kinda important, right?

I may have worded my first post wrong. I meant, this isn't a great discovery because the chests are random. I did not mean for it to come out like the whole thread is useless.

you guys wont get it wont you? ALL OF THIS STUFF IS RANDOM. yes even the ones found on TABLES and so on are level bases and RANDOM. bethesda found a way to place random leveled loot outside of chests. none of this is handplaced. which kinda makes the handcrafted dungeons worthless.

not entirely true, i know several places outside of the ebony mine that always spawns ebony ore and ingots in the exact same place, and you can go there on a level 1 character and see it. I know it's not really armor/weapons loot, but it's not random, either.

i am aware of this. e.g. dagons shrine and others. but this does not change the fact that armor pieces are always random. except for some quest exceptions of course.
