If Bethesda manages to create an economy that suits all levels of people, so low level people who struggle to buy anything and high level people who are struggling to sell things then Bethesda has become the perfect organisation to run any real life country.
Go play oblivion. Try to get 10k gold before you get to level 2.
Play again and try to get to level 25 without running across 100k wealth.
This is the issue I was referring to.
High levels (of skills) should make it easier to do things (like close a business deal, or clear and loot a dungeon) not be a guarantee of success.
IRL what's "high level"?
I personally have met some very intelligent, accomplished people that I would not consider wealthy.
I've met some pretty ... low level (?)... people that definitely had more money than sense.
Sometimes poor people get lots of money and smart people make bad decisions.
Creating an economy where "high level" (or any) people struggle to sell things is not what I would call perfect.
