Editing mods that requires OBSE

Post » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:48 pm

Just a quick question, decided to post here instead of t he construction set forums. If I wanted to edit a mod that requires OBSE, particulary one of the scripts in the construction set can I just edit it using the construction set and save it? Or do I need to activate sometrhing like OBSE editor or something? Sorry totally a noob at scripting.

you need to start the construction set with
obse_loader.exe -editor

to edit OBSE scripts

the easiest way to do it is to create a shortcut of obse_loader and add -editor to the parameters list.

Make a shortcut to OBSE_Loader.exe and add a -Editor http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa150/JustinCoherent/Fallout%203/Parameter.png to the target.

*late ninja* :(

As they have said -- you will need to load OBSE and the editor --- the CS will not compile scripts that use OBSE without OBSE loaded since the CS does not have those functions without OBSE - so will not let you save a script that includes them as it will think the scripting has errors in it when it does not recognize the functions.

Been answered, but point of interest: OBSE's readme does cover this.
