I am just wondering if there is an easy way to do this. I tried exporting the names, changing them, then importing them, but nothing changed when I imported. The only way I know how to do it successfully is by changing the names within the construction set. That will take way too long. Please help me.

EDIT: I found wrye bash, but it still doesn't work. The console says "SystemError: ..\Objects\longobject.c:336: bad argument to internal function". Why does this have to be so hard? ARGH!

EDIT: NVM, I was using excel to edit the csv file when I should have just used my friend notepad++ from the beginning. It hardly changes any of the editor ID's though. How inconvenient.

EDIT: In fact it changes none of them. Why does something so easy have to be so hard?

You can use other tools like TES4Edit or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14542 to change EditorID and other things.

I figured out why it wasn't working though. If you have preceding numbers in the editor ID, Wrye Bash skips over it. For example, "01BrownBear01" won't work, but "BrownBear01" will.

I'd say both. While CorESPreader is good for quick edit, TES4Edit is good for edit, comparing, cleaning plugin.

The CS-alternative ObEdit allows batch editing of editorIDs, IIRC.

ObEdit crashes when I load the master file.

How do I edit the IDs with TES4Edit or CorESPreader? I can only figure out how to do it the slow way.
