1. Not sure, have you checked the options menu on the launcher, it has many options that are not in-game?

2. A glitch with PC skyrim when you alt-tab out, use this to fix it: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36125/?

3. well, you can have a save game at the moment before you choose a character, other than that, I do not think you can skip that.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40706/? by the same author fixes both problems.

Firstly, it's an SKSE plugin, so install http://skse.silverlock.org/. There's an automated installer, so you should manage. Then download OneTweak and follow instructions on the mod page. And yeah, watch Gopher's vids, they're great.

1) don`t use Console Commands to try and skip the tutorial. Console Commands are not "Cheat Codes", they are a debugging tool that can harm your save file if you don't know exactly what you are doing.. if you try and use them to skip the tutorial you will likely harm your save in some form or another..

2) Yes Skyrim does support a 360 Controller, and most keys on your keyboard should still work

like I said, unless you know exactly what you are doing, do not use console commands..

They are NOT cheat codes, they are debugging tools left in the game so Mod Makers can test things easier

EF, how about you play the game normally and don't risk breaking questlines? It's possible to do really fun stuff with console commands, but only if you know what you're doing.

Some NPCs are essential and can't be killed. You have to de-essential them first. Who are you trying to kill anyway?

doing so can harm your save, as I have been saying..

when an NPC is revived, they will sometimes stop following their AI Packages properly, kill an NPC and you can permanently break quests (reviving usually won't fix it)..

Like I said, they are NOT cheat codes, they are Development Tools unless you know exactly what you are doing you should never use them
(you wanna learn how? mess around in the Creation Kit for a bit)..

but go ahead and ignore this post, you normally seem to ignore my advice..

Am I a bad person for wanting to give him the tools and watch him wreak havoc on his game?

No one can say that he was not warned.

EF, I agree with everyone here by saying that using the console is only recommended if you know what you are doing. In the mean time, just play the game before you start going nuts with the console and mods!

as long as your in game, console commands can always cause harm, even if you are in the tutorial

Anyways, you have Winrar, so find the file you downloaded, right click it, and press "extract here", this will unpack the File into whatever directory it is currently stored in

I personally use 7-zip instead of winrar, but anyway, just download any mod you want and follow the readme to install it correctly. If you don't, you could hurt your game and potentially your system. CCNA had a good example by saying that adding in mods is not like adding songs to your MP3 player

Winrar is not even free anyway, it is a trial AFAIK (unless I missed something).
