Since the idiots at Bethesda can't be bothered to fix this millions of quest breaking bugs in this game that we've all paid for can anyone tell me if there is any fix for the Eisa Blackthorn bug please?

What I mean is the one where you approach Frostmere Crypt and she doesn't get attacked by the bandits as she should do. I know you can pickpocket the journal but I don't want to do that. I have tried approaching from several directions to no avail. Is there any way to trigger the bandit attack?
