Considering you aren't supposed to be able to wear it in the first place, it's not surprising at all.

They wouldn't have made it possible to get it through reverse pickpocketing if the player wasn't supposed to be able to wear it. It is another fault on Bathesda, either they should have checked the reverse pick pocket issue or fixed the issue of once it is equipped.

They never really expected people to use reverse pickpocketing for much besides the grenades thing. I mean, you get negative karma for RPP stimpaks -- it's pretty obvious what RPP was intended to be. Even then, why take the effort to fix a harmless exploit like that? You don't experience the associated glitches if you simply don't go out of your way to replace Elder Lyons' clothes and steal his old ones, so who cares?

If you want to talk about glitchy, how about General Chase's coat, which is supposed to be a "winterized" variation of Autumn's coat but is instead a suit of combat armor? Or Paulson's cowboy outfit, which has missing arms in 1st person. Both of those outfits WERE intended to be taken and used by the PC.

Huh...pretty sure there are a lot more blades of grass than one of the top main characters. Think before you type next tome please.

How could they not expect people to RPP like that when it is a feature they clearly included (not an exploit, if they included it purposely as they did) if they wanted it just for grenades and mines then it would have been easily solved by an if/then statement. RPP is still pick pocketing that's why there is a negative karma effect no matter what you put in there. I am not sure about the armors that you stated since I never got them, but I like Lyons' robe so I always get it and set it as a quickslot so that it doesn't cause issues.

P.S. @ Darkside ~ Metalghost was clearly being sarcastic in his post.

I'm going to go back on one of my saves before who cares wins ends, and get this outfit. I have a girl charecter who is an energy weapons, sneak attack specialist. who especially likes electrical weapons... if I could look like a cyborg in a vault suit (no right arm- with gatling laser or Drone Cannon XB just attatched to me. well there aint much cooler [censored] that that!

The fact that it covers your pip-boy makes it fairly obvious you aren't supposed to be wearing it.

i wouldve liked custom suits for this game to made for your character...other than the armored vault suit.

as for the robe of elder lyons..you werent meant to get it, but someone has to have it.

i t is a nice looking suit, but i wouldve liked different color schemes for it, and since i only have a PS3....well till console modding comes, i can wait.

That's why I stated they either should have fixed the RPP issue so that you couldn't get it at all OR fix the issues of what happens when it is worn. As I stated before it is just among the many faults that Bethesda just never put any time into with this poorly constructed game (don't get me wrong, great game, but too many downfalls)

I really see no reason for this thread .FallOut3., particularly since it's not supposed to be worn by the player. A thread about a wiki entry also isn't much of a thread, at the very least you could have mentioned some of the problems here.

And to top it off this should have been posted in the spoiler/cheat forum.
