Elder Scrolls Best Series Of Game

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:35 pm

Okay so the thing is i love morrowind its probably one of the best games ever played. the problem was it was before its time.. imagine if bethesda remastered it! cause seriously even if you get a direct hit with a bow on it you still miss about 80% of the time..... hard to level up much. help me get them to think about making morrowind the best of the games... so far, like oblivion or better yet like skyrim, i mean the graphics and the ablilty to fast travel and the fact that if you get a direct hit you dont miss...Lets try and get a million YES's on the poll to make bethesda do ittt!! so link your friends and tell them to say yes because seriously morrowind remasteredddd would probably be the most AWESOME thing ever to be invented! and if cancer was cured in the next 5 years this still would be the most amazing thing! so get on it and vote yessssssss on my polll and get us noticed by BETHESDA!!!!!!

Morrowind was before it's time, but bringing it back now would ruin it, as 'improvements' would have to be made.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

I rather have Bethesda Softworks making a new game I never played before, than remaking a game I already played. There are extremely few games I feel would benefit from a remake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Shock comes to mind), but Morrowind sure isn't one of them.

No need. You can pretty much remaster it by using mods.

Thats true, why remake it when it can already look like http://tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1295801171/gallery_108_44_283369.jpg or http://tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1293328873/gallery_108_44_1171718.jpg

This.

I was gonna go look in the modded screenshots thread for pictures to back up my point, but you've done it for me, so thanks :)

Why remaster Morrowind when it's brilliant the way it is? Add to that the fact you can do pretty much anything you want with it, and I fail to see why you'd even think it needs a remaster.

Those are my own screenshots , I keep them on hand to show off how awesome Morrowind can look.

If you want it remastered, do it yourself with Mods. Bethesda don't do remakes, and they don't like to revisit old games. Their only interest is in moving forward. And that's the way it should stay.

So either put up with Morrowind as it is, and as it should stay, or mod it using with Oblivions graphics. Your choice. But from me it's a...

You don't need a remake, you need mods...and some Restore Fatigue Potions.

There are mods to make it oblivion style of combat (aka, imcreased damage as the skill increases). Morrowind has been out so long that most aspect you can think of have been done at some point.

It's an RPG, where things are character skill based, not player skill based.

I prefer it for that reason.

And at level 10 in ANYTHING in Morrowind, you're going to svck. Buy some training, or pick a better class for your gameplay.

Gameplay being rubbish (not quite your words, but you get the picture) is a matter of opinion. I for one prefer Morrowind's gameplay to Oblivion, because it put more of an emphasis on character skills.

Especially when it came to magic. Oblivion's system of "I've just ascended 1 level, I can now cast spells that 5 minutes ago were completely beyond my comprehension". I think Morrowind's chance of failure was far, far better.

Morrowind is beautiful the way it is. It has flaws, yes, but just because the graphics are old doesn't mean it needs to be remade. Appreciate the age of it.

In an ideal world where all the improvements, voice dialogue, and conversion kit to current graphics and animations were free, I would love to see an official over hall. I wouldn't like to see a new Morrowind or a remake. C'mon, leave remakes of the same thing to the makers of Call of Duty or Medal of Honour.
