Elder Scrolls confessions

Heh. I thought the second part was slightly more eye-widening. Seriously debating using that as my signature.
The first one was more eye-widening because he said he larp'd a naked Khajiit--"larp" meaning "live-action role-play"--and I thought it was some cosplay thing, but then he said "in Oblivion" and mentioned modding, so now I'm just confused.

- I played the MW main quest, the Tribunal MQ and the Oblivion MQ only once, I hated them all.
- I replayed the Bloodmoon MQ six times without changing my decisions in any way, I'm always a werewolf.
- I felt really dirty when I played the Imperial civil war quests, reloaded a safe from two weeks ago and went Stormcloak.
- I kill every Imperial I see in Skyrim with my main char. I even disable the essantial thing via console.
- I deleted my savegame with my Imperial char, but I kept my all Thalmor Altmer.
- I always hated Martin Septim and was happy when he "died" but also angry because he stole my spotlight.
- I liked Almalexia and Sotha Sil, but hated Vivec and always killed him with any MW char I had.
- I like the Companion quest line, but I never liked the Thieves Guild in OB.
- I think Herma Mora is Cthulhu, I really do.
- I always hated the Dunmer but I always play one in every TES game I lay my hands on.
- I only speak to Khajiit if it's necessary, I think they make TES too unrealistic. Yep, in a world where magic and gods exist I don't like cat people for beeing unrealistic.
- I always loved the Argonians but hardly play one myself.
- I hate General Tullius more than all the vilains in the TES franchise.
- I hate the Telvanni.
- I don't care for Breton lore in any way. It's neither bad nor uninteresting, but it's just "meh" for me.
Oh my god. Your views are so opposite of mine about TES. It hurts.

Same thing here, I thought it was about PVC weapons and body painting.

  • Never done Bloodmoon
  • Never done KotN or SI (and probably never will since I can't face replaying Oblivion)
  • I used to get the BOBS as soon as possible and used them all the time
  • Never been a werewolf or vampire except for the Companions questline
  • Whatever my character (even mages) they always seem to max sneaking first
  • In 750+ hours of playing Skyrim I've still only completed 1 questline

Now I am confused because the larp thing. Thought he meant in-game. Maybe he used steroids.

I never uninstall Morrowind from my hard drive
When I buy a new hard drive I reinstall Morrowind
I might have clocked more than 1000 hours in Morrowind
I love me the golden saints
I'm always sneaking in dungeons, regardless how powerful I am

Yeah, I've also never activated one of those stones. I clicked on one once and I think it offered bound weapons and armor, which didn't interest me. Now that I think of it I've never used an Ayleid Well either.

On my very first play-through of Oblivion, which would have my my first play-through of a TES game, I activated one that gives you a bound helmet, I think it was. I was only a few hours in, so I didn't know how bound armor worked. I just saw this helmet appear out of nowhere and I freaked out because I couldn't get rid of it. I actually loaded a previous save because I thought I was stuck with this thing. Then I learned later that they disappear after a certain amount of time. :P

- I have never played as a Redguard in any Elder Scrolls game.
- I played oblivion almost every day for 3 years.
- I used to go to the Anvil Docks with the sole purpose of shooting or spellblasting Newheim the Portly into the water
- I have never really used alchemy or enchanting
- I get carried away with the backstories and sequels of my characters
- The first time I did the Ultimate Heist quest in Oblvion, I crept all the way into the Imperial Palace, sneaked all the way back out again, and realised I'd not taken the Elder Scroll
- I've lost count of how many times I have finished the Dark Brotherhood in Oblvion
- I fancied Ulene Hlervu from the moment I first saw her in Cheydinhal lol

- My second character in Morrowind, and then the first in both Oblivion and Skyrim, is a Dunmer called Shaarilla.
- I've never finished Bloodmoon, and I've never changed into a werewolf at will in Skyrim.
- I've been a vampire in Skyrim for exactly two days.
- My characters always end up to be sneaking and sniping. I flinch when I have to look around frantically because the battle music starts or I get hit and can't see anyone.
- I closed more Oblivion gates by console than by playing.
- I hate followers and escort missions of any kind and use the console to set them to essential (if they aren't already).
- When I start a new Morrowind game, it takes me several days to look for, download, set up and adapt the mods I'll be using.
- I've never played one of the beast races, although Khajiit look quite decent in Skyrim.
- I have only two Oblivion characters - Shaarilla, who finished the main quest and Shivering Isles, and another one, who did come as far as Bravil and then was abandoned for playing Morrowind again.
- For some reason, I liked Ranis Athrys' face since the first time I saw her.
- I don't hate Cliffracers.

In skyrim i spent over 15 hours going from woodcutting, to selling it at the inn. to practasing alchemy at local alchemist. To hunting in the riverwood forests. And then back to the whiterun inn for a sleep.

Btw, After doing this for 15 hours. The lady at the inn seemed to let me take anything i wanted at all.

- I'm really "jumpy" in dungeons; it's really easy for something to scare me if it pops out at me. Daggerfall's probably the worst for this. Fortunately I'm pretty decent at recovering quickly enough to, you know, kill the thing that attacked me.
- ...I've never actually finished Arena, Battlespire or Redguard. The first is kind of fun but anything I like about it Daggerfall did better, the second because, honestly, I don't like it that much (in tone or gameplay), and the latter because I wasn't able to play it much when it first came out and now there's technical problems with finishing it.
- Still haven't really played as a Khajiit. Or an orc, actually, although at least in that case it's because I've done most of my trying out new characters in Daggerfall.
- I have an odd compulsion to try and at least at some point in each game make a character that looks like me. For the record: Oblivion was the best (because I could fine-tune it more, even if that also meant it was a bit touchy), but the others actually work out fairly well (even the earlier ones without face sliders).
- I still haven't actually gotten around to reading the novels, and I've been meaning to ever since they came out. I have such a backlog in my to-read list...
- I've always wanted to get into modding, but I can't do textures or modelling to save my life and those are the things I have the most ideas in. >_<

Hours:
- Arena: Maybe 10-20
- Daggerfall: ...No idea. Hundreds. Maybe even thousands, I've been playing it on and off since 1996 after all.
- Battlespire: A few.
- Redguard: A few.
- Morrowind: Also hundreds, though fewer hundreds. Less than 500, almost certainly.
- Oblivion: 92
- Skyrim: 90

And yes, I'm counting the unhappy ones too.

-I've logged 581 hours of gameplay in skyrim.
-lost count of the hours for oblivion/MW
-i bought 3 copies each of oblivion and morrowind (mostly GOTY)
-i start a new character with every patch
-my sneaky types miss shortswords
-i find myself agreeing with the nords of windhelm in regards to dunmer (i'm REALLY not a fan of dark elves. playing Dungeons and Dragons Online for a couple years got me sick of drow, drizzt, and any dark blue skinned elf.)
-i find myself muttering the black sacrament in real life at random.
-when walking by a bush down the street from my house, i heard rustling and instinctively went for my sword. (sadly, i have no swords T.T)

Around halfway through Oblivion, I just gave up combat entirely and resorted to just running through dungeons as fast as I could, dodging all the would be "Enemies".

If you mean the main quest when you say "halfway through Oblivion," I did the same thing. I lost interest about two-thirds of the way through. It was the only time in ten years of playing Elder Scrolls games that I've pushed my difficulty slider down to the easiest setting (another confession!) I rocketed through the rest of the quest, mainly so I could say I had seen it and so I could go see this statue in Bruma everyone was talking about.

I'm what many would call a new fan since I got into the series around 2010. Guess what I am playing that old fans revere as much as Morrowind... Daggerfall! Daggerfall is the only Elder Scrolls game that lets me make a metro Khajiit. Of course, I love old things. Old cartoons. Old movies. Thrift stores. And now a game where I can play as a perverted metro Khajiit. Too bad I found that meant be careful when playing it around the kiddos.

I have some strange no pants policy when playing the games. I wear pants in real life, but the characters... I like to have them forget their pants.

I'm still terrified of the midi sound known as Daggerfall's ghost sounds. I have a problem with my hearing in which I can hear so well, it actually makes most situations in life a bit hard to handle. I have accused doors of being ghosts in real life as a child... Now Daggerfall is using my hearing hypersensitivity to make me scared of the city of Daggerfall.

My Morrowind thief characters are always annoyed. They hate that no one is giving them a challenge. The minute a guy says he is a sports man when it comes to thieves, my thief steals some stuff off him and nothing happens. No one notices. Now they are always thinking, "I'll take this gold coin since you kind of aren't looking and are too bored of standing to look."

The graveyards in Daggerfall scare me. I go in them constantly for gold, but I'm still scared of them. The minute I put some stuff in my wagon, I hear tortured ghastly screams. I check for any hidden doorways. Nothing. I go back in. Attack the same enemies as before. Hear the sound again. Nothing. Stop playing scare the youngster, Daggerfall!

I think Daggerfall is now a scary RPG and that means I love it more. I love me some scary. How did those guys working on the sound get such loud sounds anyways?

I listen to the song Welcome To Hell by Venom whenever I find something Hell like in an Elder Scrolls game. I only haven't done that with the Dagoth Ur stuff as much because it'd get annoying...

Iron Maiden's Powerslave CD is an awesome one to play when playing an Elder Scrolls game. Especially the song Powerslave when playing Morrowind.

Skyrim was the game that got me hooked on TES.

When I first played Morrowind six years ago I hated it.

I've never played a Lycanthrope or a Vampire. Ever.

I have more hours clocked into Skyrim than I do any of the other games.

Oblivion is the only TES game in which I've played more than one character.

I always end up playing like a Nightblade, only without the blade. (Blunt, Sneak, Athletics, Illusion...)

Never beat Morrowind's main quest, or a single guild.
I only had one character in Morrowind, who logged over 250 hours.
Never played a Redguard, Altmer, Bosmer or Dunmer.
Never played a Vampire.

Ooh fun,

-I've never finished or wanted to finish the Dark Brother hood Questline in both Skyrim and Oblivion (Oblivions made me sad and Skyrim's made me mad)
-4 out of 5 of my characters in Skyrim are Khajiit o.o
-I have a deficiency of Role Playing evil characters, It doesn't work :|
-I never played an Elder Scrolls game on PC
-I made over 100 spells with the Spell maker on Oblivion, even found out how to invert myself with it O.o
-My clone of myself in doesn't like me (Oblivion)
-I stuffed a Unicorn in my house (Oblivion)
-I Killed Mehrunes Dagon instead of Martin and he ended up falling into a big blob of himself (Oblivion)
-I try to find better deathbeds for any Fallen Khajiit (Skyrim)
-I kind of wanted to marry Tsavi in Oblivion, probably because she was the female resemblance of my character
-I'm the only person who Role Plays in my area.

Confessions of the Elder Scrolls kind...

- I purchased Morrowind for the Xbox on it's release date. I didn't finish the main questline until Oblivion was released.
- I have never played an Altmer, Breton, or Argonian.
- I have never played a mage. The extent of my magic use in TES is in using the spells allowed to you at the beginning.
- I have never used Magicka or Stamina potions. I sell them.
- In Morrowind, I read every book cover to cover. In Oblivion I did the same. In Skyrim I have yet to read a book.
- I have logged more hours playing TES games than I logged hours going to school (When I was in school.)
- I still log more hours in TES than I do at work.
- When I was young I used to have TES dreams.

And last but not least;

- Morrowind is still my favorite Elder Scrolls game, bar none. Skyrim takes a close second.

oh just to add i've never actually roll played before.
i think about it half way through the game do it for like 2 sec then forget about actually i've only dune it for the first time yesterday.

when i started my new character for morrowind i picked a dark elf and named him thaylen thats really as far as i have ever got trying to rollplay before every other time i just put in my nick name . like zedd or pick ( my last name ) or brandon (my first name )

i guess in a since i just don't know how to roll play. i think it mostly has to do with how unrealisc they games can be at time like. like cities that arn't the size of cities breaking the emersion of it all. but that said when ever tamriel rebuilt is ever finsihed i think i will finally be able to really RP.
