music must be epic since music makes you get into the world of the game, i mean for example lord of the rings music was amazing and everybody loves it, i think skyrim should have amazing music


u know when you enter a fight you want epic music that gives you andarnaline. or Gooze Bumbs, those are the best moments ingame, same as movies.


Just for you all to understand, the trailer for skyrim is the best example: when you hear the music after the dragon shout it makes you want to break into bethesda studios and steal the pre alpha and play it!

The music from the previous games were already pretty great, I don't see why they wouldn't put good music in there again.

Music is a big deal in games. It can make or break it, fortunately, developers usually get it right.

And yes Music is a HUGE part of any role playing game especially a RPG as big as this one.
I think Morrowind's soundtrack has a bit more depth than oblivion's but that's just me and skyrim's intro theme is nothing short of amazing.

I wonder what Mark Lambert is thinking right now im sure composing the music and sound effects in the game is insanely hard.

actually i wonder how much direct input Mark has into the music. i know he probably mixes it all, but i wonder if he actually goes in and adjusts bits of songs.

There was something very epic about a lot of Morrowind's tracks..I think it was because they had to be used for EVERYTHING so they had to cater to every environment There was a sense of epic-ness in Oblivions too but you could definitely tell that they tackled it to be more ambient. We had music for towns, music for wilderness and music for dungeons...

I'm guessing Skyrim will have music for fights, dungeons, specific towns, taverns, wilderness, and dragon battles.

Jeremy Soule is composing the music again so its going to be just as good or better than in previous games.

just curious what makes you think they will have specific towns music? Did they have that luxury in Morrowind(I've never played Morrowind)
I really hope they do, I feel like whenever a town has it's own music, it gives the town it's own personal feel that you can't get any other way.
