Elder scrolls / skyrim a lack of humor!

I know it's not called elder lols but there seems to a lack of humor in the elder scolls/skyrim and memrobal characters while we are at it tbh.

Lack of humor? I wouldn't say so. I find it a hilarious coincidence that a lot of the guards were adventurers like me, until they got an arrow in the knee.

Elder Lols made me laugh

That said, I've found a decent bit of humor in the game myself, but to each his own

Oh, come on. Skyrim has it's moments. Did you do the quest "A night to remember?". And then there's all the unintenional humor from the stupid AI. There are funnier games out there, and games with more memorable characters, but Skyrim has it's own strengths.

Ulfric was memorable for me, Tullius too, Cicero too, even Lydia has her fair share.

Memorability is in the "personal space", so it's not worth discussing if people liked a character or not.

I agree but it really seems apparent the lack
of good characters there a little bland even parthurnaax .

I find it funny that Ulberth War-Bear is almost apologetic over the name Warmaidens. Wonder who wears the pants in that family?
Of course that might not be the side-splitting joke you would like to hear, but I wholeheartedly disagree that the developers of Elder Scrolls lacks a sense of humor.
M'aiq the Liar is very entertaining and I have lol'd at him on a couple different occasions.

M'aiq the Liar has a few funny tidbits too. I haven't laughed a huge amount while playing Skyrim, but there are some funny moments.

I chuckle every time a guard says to me, "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll..."

Dunno about Skyrim, but Morrowind and Oblivion had quite a few laughable moments. Ah, I still miss my "boots of blinding speed".

I love the dialoque between Vex and Delvin. And also that note on the table warning him not to watch her bathe or she'll cut off his "most valuable asset".

I've had my fair share of laughs playing TES but honestly it doesn't need any more humor, look at what happened to Fable, I can't even play it anymore because everything seems to be a joke now.

If you want some laughs listen to Vex and Delvin's diologue, and talk with the DB members.

Whiterun? I was in Ivarstead
OH and come on no humor. WTF it is everywhere, though this is not Shivering isles. Don't expect a stand up comedian unless you talk to the mad guy near the bards college in Solitude. Now that was the greatest quest ever.
A quote from a guard
"I was thinking, maybe I'm the dragonborn and I just don't know it yet?"

Just because the humour isn't the sort of "Hah! Look at him, he just farted/burped/soiled himself" humour which can be found in Fable doesn't mean humour isn't present. It's often unintenional, mind.

I laughed when I found a skeleton stuck in a hay bail reaching for an Ale bottle.

I laughed when I found the three hunters nvde bathing in the hot springs.

I laughed at the little boy in Whiterun that keeps getting beat up by the little girl.

Kinda like bugs/glitches, but:

When I killed a dragon in a Stormcloak's camp. When the smoke cleared the first thing a soldier said was "I sure hope we don't have rabbit again tonight".

I chased an Elk into a giant camp. I didn't dare follow, but watched while the giant pounded the Elf once. The Elk went flying about a 100 feet in the air. I never found where it landed.

Who? John Henry Eden?
Now there's a real comedian...right up there with Red Foxx and Red Skelton.
There are some funny characters in Fallout, I'll give you that...Elder Scrolls tends to be darker...dry...wry. Humor just the same.
For example...a potion of water breathing on a drown corpse...not side-splitting, but humorous.

It's very humorous! Last night I had a question to answer - "What's lifes greatest illusion" and one of the three answers to choose from was "Umm, the one where you saw the woman in half?" :D lol

Humor? I role play my humor in the game. There was a part while i was playing, this mage came in and said "Heh...I'm gonna take that staff from yew now!"
I respond with "Get the cr@p out of my way!"
Mage: "Oh really? Don't you see!? YOU DON'T STAND A CHAN-" And at that point I cut off his head. Literally. XD
