Elder Scrolls Trilogy

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:23 pm

I'm writing this thread for a suggestion for the amazing Trilogy you at Bethesda Softworks have managed to create.

My name is Aziz, and I am a huge fan of your Elder Scrolls games. As I was thinking some other day... If you now have created such a amazing top selling game in the world. So my idea is that maybe what you at Bethesda Softworks should try to co-operate with some director for a movie based on the story of Morrowind - Oblivion and Skyrim which basically should atleast earn all the gamers attention + those who havent played the game but still likes fantasy, swords, bows... well yeah all what comes with Fantasy RPG. Basically you at Bethesda shouldn't only be earning money from your amazing games I know that you all are working hard on. But making some kind of movie of all this would have been a revolution of The Elder Scrolls and not only the game itself but show how great company you are.

As said.. this is only a suggestion so no harm taken if denied or ect. But I only wish that all of you in Bethesda Softworks should consider this as a great forward "push" to even greater experience.

Also I'd wish rest of these members at this forum to think about this and tell me what you think about the idea I though of. I'm sure i'm not the only guy in this world that wants to see The Elder Scrolls as a movie.

Kind Regards, ZeroSkilled.

Why does it all start with Morrowind?
I'm one of those who don't like "their" game/book/movie butchered by a movie/game/book, but frankly it's the LOTR movie that made me read the book which I've never heard of, so I guess it can work either way if and only if there is a great director who can do Tes justice in good taste. So, the question is: is there any great director who happens to be a big Tes fan?

No. If there is a movie, I'd at least like a new story, not relive something i've already did, with a lot of stuff put on the side so they can fit in 2h.
I think the akavir war would be cool to see for example.
And by the way, TES started with Arena.

Well basically The Elder Scrolls got their kick with Morrowind. It was so far of what I know. The biggest game ever (or something) that time when it was released.

I think that it would be a better idea to write books based off of the games and theology before getting into the theater. Covering everything in immense detail will ensure that the movies will be at least half decent.

You can't just remove a couple of entries in a series to be able to call it a trilogy. It won't be a trilogy no matter what.

You can base a movie off of something like Mortal Kombat or Hitman, but TES? Too many variables. Too many choices in the game.

Not sure the devs operate by that value system.Hell, it seems Daggerfall is still a favourite for many. Regardless, they would never market it as a trilogy simply because the past three games have been the most widely known. Frankly that's [censored] stupid.

LOL,
starwars.

The movie or movies would have to span over many generations. You couldn't make it from the hero's stand point. You would almost have to make like "How the west was won", like: no historic figures as main charators. All the TES lore peps would be picking it apart if they did it any other way.

No this about movies based on the game. Not about the game. This goes in the general TES section.

oh people you are soo square nothing likes you, i think this is a good idea, it could be just a single movie not a trilogy and in there we can see elements of all the elder scrolls games (including skyrim) i would like a 3d movie.

Bethesda already created some books so, how a movie can be a bad idea?

Probably because Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are the most similar to one another in the presentation of the world and the engine tech. Think of how Grand Theft Auto fans often group GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas into one "era" because they're so similar and their stories intertwine.

But no thank you. The only Elder Scrolls game whose plot would make an awesome movie is Redguard, and the game does enough justice to that material alone.
