I would play it in a heart beat. Oh the coolness that it might bring because of the mass size and lore. Not to mention the updates, etc.

Uhhhhh...... No. MMo's are absolutely horrible.

That sure would be a waste of all these years since Oblivion, to come out after all this time with an MMO.

No because MMOs svck. They have no story. They just stick you in a world with a bunch of other people and say "have fun." There's no compelling reason to play. In my opinion MMOs are like higher budget social games. World of Warcraft and Farmville aren't all that different except how much work was involved in making them and how much money they bring in. Both of them are just motivated by trying to level up and get stuff and interacting with online people.

I don't pay to play and I hate MMOs. If Zenimax Online makes a TES spinoff MMO, so long as it does not interfere with the single-player experience that I love about TES then fine by me. Don't expect me to play it, though.

I started Lotro couple weeks ago. It's so unimmersive.... monsters and animals spawn at ridiculous rates, youre always sent to kill 20 wolves or something, and you always find them about 100 meters from the village. The world size is nice, reminds me of TES2: always unvisited places, and stuff to see and quests to do.

TES multiplayer would work nice if it was co-op with max people of 8. You'd share the quests and help each others in fights, and trade items and specialize in different crafting skills. It's nice to have people around, doing stuff together (Lotro society is great)... but when you're waiting for a quest NPC to spawn with 6 other 'adventurers' and you practically fight who gets to click him first, then it makes no ****** sense. Cp-op and shared quests would make sense in that regard.

But my vote for TES MMO is huge no-no. Rather, improve the single player RPG experience. Make world immersive and realistic, unlike it's possible in MMO's.

I would love an ES MMO, just as long as we get a standalone TES:V first.

But the question was if ES:V was an MMO... and I guess the answer would be hell no. I'd be so pissed I would boycott it.

I would play it if i could get my friends to play it. I would only support it if it did not affect lore in anyway.

Lately we’ve been more lenient about TES V topics here but they have unfortunately begun to overrun this forum so we will be cracking down on them again.

  • If you want to discuss features that you would like to see in an upcoming Elder Scrolls game, or expect to see, please use the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1147719-tes-v-ideas-and-suggestions-188/

  • Speculation on when or if such a game will be announced belongs in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1147858-official-tes-v-speculation-thread-89/.

  • Finally any discussion of future Elder Scrolls games that involve multiplayer of any sort belongs in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119156-official-tes-multiplayer-thread/.
