Elderscrolls in HD ?

I know Bethesda is hard at work making their next project what ever it is it should be glorious and fun game.. But I would like to Discuss and try and see if the Developer would ever try to make past Elder scrolls game in HD for net gen console.. I Started playing TES on the original xbox with morrowind ( think it was the Blood moon and morrowind expansion pack all in one ) The game blew my mind and made me fall in love with RPG again.. Spending hrs trying to figure out how the game was played not knowing until a few hrs later it was an open world RPG and the game made me never want to put it down and pick up another rpg type of game..

I'm not asking for arena or dagger falls from the PC to make a leap into console version because it be too much to program but Bethesda could start off with Morrowind and do Oblivion and skyrim in HD with all DLC's.. I would pay $100 for it on next gen, I know we couldn't use are characters From Xbox360 and ps3.. But the fun of it would be to start fresh and relive the moment of past games on next gen console.. To tell you the truth I am fiending to reimmerse myself in those worlds again and bring back some nestalga of playing those game..

I Had a blast playing them, to this day I still say morrowind was the best maybe because it was my first Elderscrolls that I purchased or was the fact that it was on a console and didn't need to dish out additonal money to play it on PC.. I used to play Daggerfalls at a buddys house when I was younger and that is how I got hooked on the series in the first place..

I just wanted to put it out their to see if this could actually happen in the coming year while we are still in the Xbox-one and ps4 era..

What do you guys think ?

Please discuss..

Not going to happen - Beth will focus on new games, not revisit older ones.

But if you really want remakes, check out OpenMW for Morrowind. There are other attempts at remaking past titles but I'm not going to say on this thread.

Chances of it happening are slim to none. Bethesda would rather spend the time in creating a new story and setting than to work on an old story. What they may do is go back to one of the areas of one of the older games and tell new stories there.

Let them focus on their next project. We don't need remakes.

This is one of the many reasons why I'm PC player. Tech advances, old games still work on fresher hardware. And then there's the community keeping games alive and fresh...

I wasn't saying now, I want them to focus on the next tes game what ever games they decide doing.. I was just saying that toward the end of the this gen life cycle they can do something like that when all the TES games and fallout games are basically out and done for this generation of console it would be neat revisting those proviences.. I really don't want to build a gaming PC just to play 4 games on..

We were wondering this too, given the money they made from Skyrim, would they redo it for the ps4 and xbox ONE.. I say they would not but many big gaming companies are doing so.. EA for sure.

Mo money and all that..

I don't think they will though.

From a financial point, which makes more profit, full priced remake for PS4/X1 or cheap priced original version for PC for example? It's the latter one. High price for an old game, no matter how "remake" it is, will be a turn-off.

PC version of Skyrim for example is available for ~10€ every time Steam holds a major sale (less than 4€ without DLCs :ahhh: ) and keeps selling vast quantities.
