I've been a fan of the elder scrolls series since morrowind was released, but due to never having a computer worth a dang always played them on console only.
Well time's have changed, and I recently purchased a very nice high end gaming desktop. I want to mod the heck out of the Elder scrolls since i've always wanted to. I'd like the communities opinion on which one would be the most worthwhile to mod
Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim.
I own all 3 on xbox, and have played the heck out of the vanilla versions. The only thing keeping me back from just going out and picking up another copy of skyrim is the fact that it's still 60 bucks, but if it has great mods and is worth it i see no reason why i couldn't. so throw in your two cents and help me make up my mind which one to buy.
I love each game, and mods would give me a great reason to go back to the older ones and re-experience them. At the same time Skyrim has me really addicted playing the dawngaurd beta, and I would also love to mod that on my new PC
Here's my thoughts
Skyrim excites me because I would be able to take advantage of the expensive graphics card I purchased and push it to max settings and download/create some really beautiful mods. - again major thing holding me back is the fact it's still 60 dollars and i've already bought it once
Oblivion was and still is one of my favorite games and being able to download and create a few mods for it would definetly give me an excellent reason to dive back into it. major advantage is a ton of readily available quality mods and i can buy the digital deluxe version with all offical DLC for only 25 dollars
And then morrowind. My first foray into elder scrolls. Love the game. The best reason about getting it would be the fact there's still so much in the game i haven't done yet. now that i could get some great mods for i'd be able to get around alot of the things that have been holding me back from getting back into it, and improve the textures and make it beautiful.
So really i can think of great reasons to mod any of them. Which is why i'm here and don't know which one to dive into.
