Seeing the Bud Light commercial with Jimmy Johnson and electric football had me reminiscing about my own time "trying" to play with this toy. Anyone else old enough to remember this travesty?
Basically, it is a metal sheet hooked up to a vibration device that shakes the metal "field" causing the plastic players to move about. On the bottom of each player were 4 sets of plastic "tags" (little plastic pieces that stuck down and touched the metal field) that a person could move a little bit forward or backward and "supposedly" direct the players when the metal sheet vibrated. I never could do much with those other than get my little guys running in circles
There was even a quarterback player that you could place the little felt football into his cocked arm and manually throw the football. Usually, every play ended up being a big mass of plastic players wherever they ran into each other. Some may fall down, one may break away from the pack, but it was just so funny watching them vibrate around the field.
Despite my seemingly sarcastic and disparaging comments, it was a great toy that provided hours of fun (mostly laughter) cheaply
Anyone have any good stories about this toy? Did anyone actually witness a score?
