Elite Riot Gear is Amazing

Post » Tue Sep 27, 2011 1:33 pm

Seriously, with Walker Instinct (and you can wear Daniel's Hat) with the Elite Riot Gear helmet, my perception goes from 6 to a perfect 10. The Elite Riot Gear itself.....it's like power armor with a 5% critical chance.

So it gives you what light armor offers, and at level 50 your immune to critical strikes anyway if you take one of those 3 top 50 perks, and the protection of power armor without the heavy bulk penalty and weight.

It just kicks the [censored] out of all armor.

I agree, I may actually retire my old Desert Ranger armor and replace it with the elite riot armor. It is a difficult transition, since I RP a Desert Ranger, but a survivalist will always look to improve his armor, right?

Well you still can't move as fast as with Light armor, and a character equipping Ulysses' Duster with the Light Touch perk WILL crit slightly more.

But yeah, that's DEFINITELY an enticing piece of medium armor. Kinda gives you the choice of slightly better crit and superior mobility vs. higher DT and better perception/night vision.
If only they'd given Heavy armor just ONE set with an enticing stat aswell, then we could call them all balanced.

I just switch to Daniel's outfit if I want to run long distances and sneak closer to enemies.

Hahaha, and soon: "Armor?! Why can't we just get regular clothing? Jeeeez Obsidian.

...actually they won't be saying that, because LR was the last 'story' DLC. :sadvaultboy:

By the way I forgot to mention it has the most hp out of any armor in the game with the exception of T-45d and T-51b......Hell it was 250 more hp than Remnant's Power Armor.

I agree the armor is amazing. It puts power armor to shame. The shoulders are a little bulky though...

I like the bulky shoulders. Makes my character looks beefy. It looks amazing from the back and the front. And yes it does put power armor and heavy armor in general into the crap pile.
