PC Elitists explain me something...

I'll try to keep it short since noone reads walls of text.

While browsing the forums 1 real question keeps popping up in my head.

See, you guys scream bloody murder to get DirectX11, now we got it and all of a sudden ppl are crying their eyes out that their **** explodes every time their DirectX10 cards tries to be a boss and run 11...
But why even ask for directX11 if knowing you can't run it??

The SDK was something that was requested A LOT.
Now that we finally got it, once again, people cry their eyes out that their **** computers can't run it (32bit users).

So basically it comes to this.
People want to play Crysis 2 to become the sickest computer stressing game off all time... but you want to play it on **** computers...

Seriously?
What DO you guys want ?????
Everyone bought crysis 2 expecting it would be unplayable without upgrading their ****, and now that upgrading your system might be required with the new stuff released, you don't want to...

I'm really really lost here =/

you can find my computer specs on my profile (https://secure.gamesas.com/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=332460)
I can run crysis 2 just fine, so don't think i'm the one crying.
I just don't understand it...

Its because the people who were biching about not having DX11 are now busy enjoying it while all the people who didn't give half a **** are now biching because their rigs can't handle the game.

I hear ya, I knew I wouldn't be able to run DX 11 at a decent res in MP and still own, but I think a lot of people don't understand the difference between running mp and single player. You have to have a pretty beast rig to run DX 11 in MP above 1680 x 1050 res. I think part of the problem though is the patch forces you to run everything wether you like it or not. There should have been options to just run things at very low settings or turn them off completely for MP settings. A lot of gamers even if they can run all the effects very easily at high fps still don't because it causes so much clutter on screen that it makes it harder to actually see and sight in on the enemy. This is the main reason pro type players turn all that stuff off. It should have been an option to run the effects or not, but instead I think most people are upset that they are forced to run them like it or not.

i believe crytek team is congratz themselves everytime they see topic or reply in topic "OMFG I GET 1 FPS ITS SO CHOPPY I CANT MOVE, EVERYTHING IS SO REALISTIC AAA CRYTEK **** UUUUUUUUUU". i would to. :)
I never really biched or moaned about graphics either on DX9 or DX11. They both look pretty and im quite happy that i can get mostly 30 fps when playing with DX11. Thank you crytek :) (even tho theyre not even reading this^^)

With a bit more RAM, my rig could handle DX11 no problemo.
Also, CE3 SB is something I was waiting for since the release.
But I cannot enjoy neither just because I know how good Windows XP is. 32-bit ftw.
But that might change...

So this leads me to believe that PC gamers would use older technology out of free will...
Then where do these same guys get the right to blame console gamers for hamstringing technology?
My mind continues to blow today o.o

I don't know what's your problem but my crossfire 5770's pretty much n00binate the multiplayer, it's the single player with the tessellation that lags them.

Seriously though what's the cost of a single graphics card that can meet the requirements to run this game at least 45 fps minimum (and not 45 on a less demanding area) @ 1920x1080 full ultra?

Is it really worth paying for now just to run this game or is it better off waiting for the cheaper next gen cards to come that satisfy this standard of game?

Those are questions people should be asking before blowing 4-600 quid just to run it fully.

Come on guys, any seasoned PC gamer knows you have to upgrade for such games. We all knew DX11 was coming over 2 months ago and I bet many people upgraded their PC for Crysis 2 in the first place. Lower the settings if you cannot take the frame rate hit and it still looks better than the console crap we had.

looks like "will it run crysis 2?" is almost a valid question. Any one biching about 32bit really does need to shut up already. Its 2011 - who seriously has less than 4 gigs of ram on their computer? Any new computer will have at least 4gigs and a 64bit OS. If you bought a retail copy of windows vista or 7 then you also have a 64bit installation option. Get over it and install it or buy it. If you guys were alive when it happened you would be crying about the new 16 bit only programs you cant run on your 8080 but totally could if the evil software companies would just give you a chance.

Im thrilled. I finally have DX11 and SB3 so its time to install the game and play it. No doubt ill be on here biching about the linear levels, **** AI, and horrible story in no time. Thanks Crytek!!
