Elsweyr's Kingdom Of Rimmen

Some new previews of Version 0.0.8:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/31203-5-1272736450.jpg Come here at night, when the other gates are closed. And after I finished the scripts for that ...

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/31203-4-1272736450.jpg Near the gate, so they can escape from vampire hunters quickly ...

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/31203-3-1272736450.jpg

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/31203-2-1272736449.jpg Wikipedia says they're named http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noren, half lenght like this Hannoren. Not sure if that's right for temples too. Need some nice symbols on them, but except the good old Imperial dragon I've no idea yet. Wish I knew if Tonenaka is a 'real' word in any of the eastern languages, with nice sign(s) for it ;).

Hope I can finish the new version before weekend, but one ESP is still missing ...

New version 0.0.8 at TesNexus: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31203.

Tsaesci saved from sunburn now and well feeded thanks to Johnn123.
Interior cell for upperclass houses prepared by Norinvaux (hope your door saving problem are gone forever ;)).
Rimmen is guarded now thanks to Aussie_In_Oblivion.
Nice places to sleep and a garden to meditate for the upcoming temple folks.

ElsweyrAnequina.esp is no longer a master file for Rimmen.esp with this version. For technical reasons at last, editing based on an another ESP is, though possible, full of problems.

But of course it's still highly recommended to install Ilianas mod, silly to have an Elsweyr kingdom without Elsweyrs mainland.

Always edit it directly and only with the CS, please.

Hey guys,

I was just curious: What Tsaesci model are you using for the few inhabitants of Rimmen?

This has always been my favorite: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3408

Although this one was also nice. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22471

Of course, there are only three models on tes nexus, so its not like I have a big group to choose from.

Or, (as I suspect), do you guys have your own model?

This is MEGA Instant DL...I checked out the Alpha before 0.8.8, and I can't believe it...you have so much space in the town, etc...to add things. Keep it up!

@fiore1300 - were using the tsaesci race from elsweyranequina, mainly because its already there and theres tsaesci from this race in the elsweyr mod already. thx for those though

@richardrocket009 - its gettin filled on my side, i added more homes and started building interiors again

started work on the lower class inn. it has a sweet name but i cant remember now, too tired. im making a sign for all my stores as well, to go with them at least.

Hopefully no wooden signs please, that's not 'Akaviri tradition'. Use the Noren thing I've made for the temple as base for your sign. Like here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fabric_shop_in_Nara.jpg. Got a nice 'Akaviri' looking font set, but I can't remember it's name, I'll post you when back at home, with an example how to use it. If the noren is to small, you can also use the animated guild flags, just with another texture.

@fiore1300: For the Tsaesci race I prefer Corthians version, the one Iliana used. 'Just' needs another lower body, and I'm still not good enough with Blender to do a better one myself.

Haven't done much (if anything :P) in the last week, real life eat's up all my time and energy currently. Just played most the time, and did some scripting experiments. Haven't use scripts for about a year, so I forgot a lot, but it's comming back now ;).

So far I haven't encountered any problems (hooray!) and I've begun work again. I haven't been doing much recently, as I've decided to play through all my older games (FFVII, portal, half life/half life 2), but so far I've deleted a few houses and re-arranged them so nearly every UC house has an enclosed garden area beside the house. Also, I just wanted to say that so far all of Rimmen is looking good!

Oh okay, I tracked down Corthian's tesnexus page, and got some screen shots of them. Not really my cup of tea, but I can agree on you about the lower body. It needs to be much longer with a good slither animation. Kind of looks "slugish", or perhaps like an inchworm, at the mo.

But again, nice work with this mod, and I'll be certain to download in the future. :)

No clue what a jump drive might be, but why not use a network cable to connect these two PCs together? Or are they in completely different locations?

Yeah, that's the only kind of jump drive I know about too! (a brand name for one company's memory sticks, apparently).

Guys guys guys...

In some parts of the country, we call USB flash drives "jump drives". I've also heard them called cigars and memory sticks.

Actually, I'm from Ohio, and I've heard all four used...mostly in my rural hometown though, not in the city...

i've heard and used flash drive, jump drive, thumb drive, memory stick, usb drive, usb, and probably a host of others :P anyways, they are indeed cheap. another possibility, if both computers are connected to the internet, is to just host the file somewhere online. this has the added bonus of being an automatic backup.

Don't take me that serious please, although I've never heard/read this name for an USB flash stick before, I could of course imagine what he meant. As you can read in the Wiki entry, 'Jump drive' was used in SF books like Asimov's 'Foundation' for instance, that's were I knew it from. And that's quite another sort of technologie ... far far from being cheap these days :P ... still more like magical Oblivion gates ...

yeah im talking about usb flash drive... gonna try and get one this weekend, none are sold where i live i gotta go 20 minutes into the next town over to get them. thinking of getting one bigger than 4 gb this time! probably an 8 gb as long as its inexpensive. hey auryga i checked out the hannoren texture, man this is gonna be way hard get done, the UV maps seem a little weird. might have to redo them a little because when i get the words on, little black specks appear on the top of the hannoren and it lookeds weird.

It's made from a 'worn out Yukata Kimono' :P, so it indeed may be a little tricky to retexture it. Send me your texture, I'll try to do it in Blender.
