[WIPz] Elsweyr's Kingdom of Rimmen, Thread 4

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 7:40 am

As for the mod this forum thread is supposed to be about ( :P ) I need to make a stone fountain thing, and decorate some interiors. Anybody know of a good resource for realistic ponds and/or mini waterfalls?

My idea for that: Take severall Jerall mountain rock stones and arrange them like here http://www.pbase.com/getg3/image/27484246. Only the uppermost ones, the first cascade. Not as big as shown in the picture, that would be too much I think.

Use one of the vanilla waterfall meshes. I'll drill a hole into one the stones later (or do a bamboo tube) as 'water source'.

Then put a flat, 'table like' jerall stone below that waterfall. The stone I used beside the little pond in my stone garden behind the temple for instance. IIRC there are others like that too, maybe better ones.

I'll take this stone and 'scratch' it out a bit to get a little basin, then put a 'Real water mesh' in that, done.

Can't wait to see your updates, gonna merge them in as soon as I'm home.

Back to the website: here my background picture for the pages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ogata_Gekko_-_Ryu_sho_ten_edit.jpg. Got an idea to use the name of the picture too, wait and read ...

Preview of the new Website: http://www5.pic-upload.de/26.08.10/pzmtw3owbnq.jpg.

Not published yet, need's a lot more content. No dragon picture background as I planned, it didn't match the weebly layout, so I painted my own City image. Gonna add more to that, as soon as I finished the new animated Rimmen banner mesh.

Started another try on the 'Tsaesci problem', after I've learned a bit more (still not enough) about Blender's animation features. Looks promising, but it need's work on every(!) KF file, makes it a looooong tail of work, pardon my klatschian :P.

Yep, using that. But that only allows scaling, in my case removing the legs (scale 0.001, 0 did problems in Blender) and 'blow up' the tail to scale 3.

But the tail goes down from the middle of the body to the ground, so I need to change it's rotation and move it down nearer to the ground. You can change these values too in the nif, but they are overriden by the KF animations.

So I have to load every KF (Idle, WalkingForward etc.) into Blender, change rotation and Z-axis, and save it again. Haven't counted the KF's yet, don't want to ... :P

If I'm lucky, it's always or at least often the same amount for the changes.

Not in charge? We could change that if you like, with your new Blender skills that's easy :P :P :P ...

Gonna take a while on my side, my RL projects are back with force. Got a lot of homework on saturday, had no second left on the whole weekend. Thought I had a week or two without, but now it's all earlier than expected. Hopefully it'll end earlier too, although it's mostly really fun work. As good as modding, but hopefully with real houses in the end ...

no thx, my blender skills arent that great :P i am learning about creature meshes though, im currently trying to rig the peryite statue to akatoshes skeleton. also in the book it says the front gates have many places for mages and archers, as well ballistas and such, maybe we should add a few of mr_siikas ballistas to the walls?

Only after you made them fully functional with animations and a first person view to use them :P.

Edit: wonder if the later could be done somehow? How is the 1. person view done for the bows, could that be changed? Just theory question, not intend to try that ;).

Thanks, but it's almost a Weebly template, just adapted it. Had an own design first which was nearly the same as the Weebly one before I found this one. Their graphics for this 'flag' below the menu were a bit tricky, but the rest was easy to customize.

Edit: forget to apologize, I still couldn't look at your ESP. Johnn123 sent me his too, so it's time for a new Update.

But I'm for sure not able to start with that before the weekend. Had a long 6-day-weekend with my family, now there's too much work on my desks, both at work and at home :ahhh:

What are you using the ninjato for?
Also, would you maybe be able to send it to me so I can slightly remesh/retexture it for a unique weapon in one of the UC houses that I plan to be a museum/rare item collector's house?
I'm lacking severely in the meshing department, so I kind of failed at making my own blade >.>

A new alpha is on the way, merged both Norinvauxs and Johnn123s ESP this weekend, gonna check and pack the new resources today, although it could take a while for that.

@team: think I open it's usage now, and remove the 'Currently it's not allowed to use anything from here without explicit permission' phrase, what do you think?

Not that good news: new version will take longer than I expected. Hoped to upload it today, but I had still too many unfixed errors yesterday. I'll try to get it all done on the weekend. But: I'm not patient enough to upload it on the weekend, would last for hours (not liturally, real hours!) to upload it on my dialup line at home. For that upload will be next week even if it's ready on the weekend :P.

At least there's progress! I wouldn't have been able to work on anything anyway even if it was uploaded this weekend. I'm planning on playing through nehrim on my desktop computer, then seeing some friends I haven't seen in a while, then getting neverwinter nights 2 onto my laptop, then playing nerverwinter nights 2, then playing KOTOR, then possibly doing some work for the WIP Inheritance series mod I promised to help with. I might also need to work if my boss calls me in. Anyway, what I'm saying is you don't need to rush or anything when uploading the next release :P
