[RELz/Beta] Elsweyr, the Deserts of Anequina (Thread 4)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:28 pm

Sorry if I already mentioned this (I think I might have), but I found a floating rock near Dune. http://project-phoenix.wikidot.com/local--files/files/dune-rock.JPG

I also found a conflict with UL: Fallenleaf Everglade. The last bridge leading to the Valenwood Crossing, on the south end, is floating over the river, and the road on the south side of the bridge is missing for about a half-mile (a kilometer), then there's a huge land tear and it resumes going up the hill.

You are using the Anequina-Fallenleaf-Patch.esp or no?

Your load order should be--
ElsweyrAnequina.esp
xulFallenleafEverglade.esp
Anequina-Fallenleaf-Patch.esp

The patch is available on the UL patches page.

In the Optional Files part of my download I also included a combined distantLOD texture and mesh for the two mods which Arthmoor created earlier this year. Although you only need the patch, having the combined LOD as well makes it look nicer.

Oh. I missed that one somehow. Thanks! :)

The November update for this mod is now available at TESNexus.
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25023

It includes a large new chunk of the slum-city of Orcrest -- the inner town beyond the previously locked gates --, and some new creatures as well.

A special thanks to PacificMorrowind for fixing and improving so many meshes for me and also creating some new harvest animations for plants, and DarknessEternal for allowing me to use some of the desert creatures from the D.U.N.E. mod.

Yay, new update! *clicks on link*
Oh. I got a virus a few weeks back and now have to figure out how to reinstall Oblivion without losing all the items I've gotten in mods.
Still, thanks for the update.

Would people be interested in a mod that adds a colored map for the entire Elsweyr region but without increasing the scale of the map (that's what the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25150 does).

That would be nice. I ended up using the combined Elsweyr/Stirk map because of that issue. Which is fine in my case as I'd like to use Stirk as well - but it's a roundabout solution.

That would be great. :) I won't say no to more maps. Something then for everyone's tastes.

Graag gedaan. :)
Hey, you used both my languages! My English is actually better. I'm half Dutch but have lived most of my life in New Zealand. I only moved over to Holland a few years ago. Having twin citizenship is handy. :)

What bad luck! Your save games should still be preserved even with a reinstall and your mods added back in though.

I've had a look at this mod today and I have to say that I liked most of what I saw :-)
Do you need any help? I've never done desert/middle-eastern architecture before and I'd love to give it a try. Are there any towns left? Perhaps one at the sea in the south?
Apart from creating a new tileset, I also offer help with improving existing meshes and textures. If you want my help that is.

alright i'm very interested in getting this mod. i've seen it many times throughout the forums but was working out many bugs with my current mod list. I'm now curious. FCOM compatible?

I would love new land and quests. its just wonderful.

PS: how do i turn off borders in wrye bash?

Wow, that would be amazing. Your work is excellent. I've already used so many of your models, like the elephants, durzogs and seagulls and vultures. :)

You know what would be really great is a new tileset for the city of Dune. All I've done for it is a very rough mockup of the town so it can be redesigned from scratch on that site. It also happens to be my fourth and final city so making that one really unique would be fantastic. There is this Morroccan city whose style would be just perfect ...

Some of my existing meshes and textures that could do with a few touch ups as well. :)

Yes, its compatible with FCOM. I don't modify any of the levelled lists and except for a couple of minor roads it doesn't add anything to Cyrodiil. The borders are removed by changing your a setting in your game's ini file which sits in your saved games folder. Its just a matter of changing one digit. There's instructions for that with the download.

Ok, great! Looking forward to working with you. I've seen Dune (in-game), looks interesting but could sure use unique meshes. Anything I need to know about Dune? You built it into a hill, does it have to be this way? I could not find much lore-info about the city...

Yes, I made it live up to its name "Dune" so its sits in the arm of two Dunes.

I was thinking of something like Ouarzazate Kasbah in Morrocco. Its a very vertical city with lots of buttresses and different levels connected by staircases--

I think that would really suit the desert khajiit, or a fantasy version of something roughly like that. Fabric awnings and tents could add a splash of colour.

I was thinking of something similar. I imagined a small rocky hill with some sort of palace on top, and two layers of city (rich district and poor district) around it, a bit like a little desert Minas Tirith ;-)
What do you think of that?

That would be perfect! It woud mold nicely into the mountainside in that spot.

Sorry, that place is called A?t Benhaddou http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C3%AFt_Benhaddou
Quite a famous movie set.
